Chapter five

Taylor’s POV

We all get out of the car and head towards the house while Jarred and I make our way to the backyard.

The girls go to find the restroom. Typical girls. I chuckle.

There was a bunch of our pack members here, and they were bowing their heads as we passed by.

I mind-link them, telling them to stop. Tonight I’m just a guest like the rest of you. Taylor, are you getting soft on me? I’ll give you soft-raising an eyebrow at him with a smirk.

I bet you would, you would just love that, wouldn’t you! Sure sounds fun to me, I chuckle.

Alpha Taylor, I assume, extending his hand for me to shake. Taylor is just fine. I’m Devin Gomez, and these are my brothers Zack and Liam.

The Gomez brothers, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you, shaking their hands. I’ve heard a lot about your family. Well, I hope it’s all good, replies Zack.

Actually, it was all good, replies Jarred. Oh, sorry, this is my Beta Jarred. His sister Sara and my sister Alicia are running around here somewhere. I will introduce you to them when we find them.

Alicia’s POV

This house is beautiful, Sara. I know it’s small, but it’s cozy. Izzy walks out of her room and runs smack into Alicia.

Oh, I’m so sorry, I should have watched where I was going. It’s fine, laughs Alicia. I should have been paying more attention, but I couldn’t get over how beautiful this house is.

Thank you, my brothers and I have put a lot of work into it. Oh, I’m sorry, where are my manners? I’m Izzy Gomez. It’s a pleasure to meet you.

I’m Alicia Diaz, and this is Sara Trent. Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are with that hourglass shape and has a a** to go with it? You could be a model, says Sara. My face turns bright red, but somehow I manage to say thank you.

Oh, and you’re polite and kind. Where have you been hiding, says Sara. Do you have a boyfriend, Izzy? Um, no, I’m waiting to find my mate if that ever happens, I sigh.

Well, that’s the same for us; otherwise, our brothers would kill us, says Alicia. Oh, who are your brothers? My brother is Taylor, and hers is Jarred, says Alicia.

They are strict but loving, says Sara.

We were about to go outside; would you like to join us? I’m sorry; I was just about to leave. I’m on my way to work. Wait, but isn’t this party for you and your brother? Asks Alicia.

Yes, it is, but I got called into work, and I forgot my keys and was just coming to grab them. I’m sorry; I really gotta go. I will be back in a few hours . I’m gonna hold you to that, Izzy.

Zack’s POV

I walk through the back door to grab a beer for Taylor and Jarred, and I’m hit with the most amazing smell; it’s like wildflowers in the spring. I look up and see the most beautiful and amazing woman I’ve ever seen. MATE!! MATE!! Yells Chip. I know, I know; calm down before we scare her.

What’s your name, I ask, not being able to take my eyes off her.

M..my name is Alicia …Alicia Diaz, she says in a low but sweet calming voice. As she blushes.

Alicia, her name is Alicia, with her long brown wavy hair, with her big blue doe eyes, and her body; wow, she’s got curves. She is just so beautiful. I never imagined that my mate would be this beautiful.

I walk over to her, reach down, and grab her hand, and I felt the electricity shoot up my arm. This is amazing.

Her lips; I could kiss those all day.

Wait, did you say Diaz?

Yes. So your brother would be Taylor?

Alicia POV

Oh my lord, he’s gorgeous—his thick black hair, his gorgeous hazel eyes. His chiseled face, his biceps—they’re so big I feel like I am drooling. I can’t take my eyes off of him. I would love to run my fingers over every inch of his body. He’s tall—at least six foot two.

He’s so handsome, everything I ever wanted. Oh, and his hazel green eyes—they’re so dreamy. He’s gorgeous.

Kara is wagging her tail with her tongue out, drooling. Making me laugh.

Hey Jarred, what do you want, Sara? I just thought you should know—Alicia just found a mate. What!!! Yep, you heard me. Sh** I’ll let Taylor know.

Taylor, your sister just found her mate. Sh** Where is she? Chuckling, I just said the same thing.

Shut it, Jarred!! Okay, okay, putting my hand up. She’s inside with Sara. Devin, I need a few minutes—I need to go see my sister.

Sure, let me show you inside. Devin opens the door, and all I can smell is vanilla and strawberries—it’s the most amazing and intoxicating smell I ever smelled in my entire life. MATE! I smell MATE, Ry says.

Taylor’s POV

I just stood there. I was at a loss for words. I have traveled all over the world. I have been to so many packs I had lost count looking for my mate, to find out she has been twenty minutes away from me this whole time.

My pack members have been telling me for over a year to come meet the Gomez’s, and I was always too busy.

I look around and don’t see anyone but my sister, Zack, and Sara. Where is she?

Where’s mate? I don’t know, Ry. I want mate. So do I, Ry. MATE!! I WANT MATE. Ry, stop so I can find out. Ry just pouts and goes and lays down. I block him and look at my sister and Zack.

I straighten my face and congratulate Zack and my sister. Not letting on that I had found my mate too. Well, at least where she lives. And that is a start.

Zack seems like a really nice guy. Alicia and I’m happy for you both.

Alicia’s POV

His name is Zack. I love it. I look at my brother, and he seems a little off. Mind linking …is everything okay, Taylor? Yes, why? You just seem… I don’t know? No, I’m fine, just happy for you both. Mom and Dad will be thrilled. Thanks, Tay. I love you. Love you too. Now go spend some time with your mate. I’m fine.

He gives me a smile. It’s a warm smile but not a genuine smile. I’ll find out later what’s wrong. But for now, I want to get to know my mate. All I know is his name is Zack.

Taylor’s POV

I’m so happy for my sister. She deserves a good guy. And to what I know about Zack, he’s just that, he’s a hard worker.

But where is my mate? I don’t see her anywhere, and this party was for Liam and his sister.

I found my mate or at least where she lives. I chuckle. WHAT!! WHERE!!

Where else! Here, laughing? Who is she? Well, I think she is the sister to the Gomez brothers, which are really the Rowlands that would explain why they are all rouges. And why they would never come to the pack.

She has been twenty minutes away from me this whole entire time.

I told you, Taylor, a while back that you should come and meet them. Yes, I know, sighing.

What are you gonna do now?

Nothing for tonight. Izzy is not here. And it’s their birthday.

I think you’re right, Taylor. Let’s just enjoy tonight. Izzy might show up.

Sara’s POV

I walk outside, and it smells like the forest when it’s raining. It smells so good. I start walking towards the scent, and this god of a man turns around, both sienna and Zeus say MATE.

He walks towards me and pulls me in his arms. Reaching down, smelling me where his mark would be.

You smell so good, mate, making me blush.

My name is Liam Gomez, and yours? Sara Trent. Jarred is my brother. Well, S***.

He’s gorgeous. He has black hair like his brothers. He’s about six foot one, just a little shorter than Zack. His muscles bulge out from under his shirt. I just wanna run my hands over every part of his body. Oh, and his hazel eyes. I thought Zack’s were beautiful, but his are stunning.

I just wanna run my hands through his hair.

I reach up, putting both my hands on the side of his face, and pull him down and peck his soft lips really fast. He starts to chuckle.

Such a tease, he whispers in my ear. I blush a deep red.

My brother clears his throat. And we both turn and look at him.

Well, this is an eventful day, Jarred says.

We should go to parties more often, he chuckles.

He extends his hand to Liam. Welcome to the family. You better treat my baby sister well.

Liam’s POV

I have waited for this day since I was little. Someone who I could love and would love me back the same.

She is beautiful, her strawberry blonde hair, it’s French braided halfway down her back. Oh, her big brown eyes, I could look at them forever, and she has dimples when she smiles. She has a killer body. And her hands fit perfectly into mine.

She’s about five foot seven, and you can tell she works out. Zeus is yelling at me to mark her.

Stop it, Zeus, before you scare her. I don’t care, she’s mine! Rolling my eyes, I block him out. No one is gonna take her from us.

Taylor’s POV

Well, this has been an eventful day. Both my sister and Sara have found their mates. I finally found my mate, but she’s not here, again!

But at least I know where she lives now. And her scent, I can’t get enough of it.

I look at Devin, and he seems a little sad.

Hey Devin, is everything okay? Yeah, everything is fine, and I’m happy for my brothers, and our sister will be thrilled; she’s been telling us we need to go and look for our mates.

May I ask what your sister’s name is? Please be Izzy, I tell myself, please moon goddess, let it be Izzy finally.

Her name is Izzy, but we call her Iz.

Is everything okay, Taylor?

Yes, I’m sorry; I was talking to my wolf, Ry.

Your sister has a beautiful name. Where is she tonight? She ended up having to work, but she should be here soon.
