Chapter seven

Izzy’s POV

My head is spinning with everything, Shay. I don’t think I deserve the mate the moon goddess gave me.

Just relax and enjoy it. He’s our mate; he will never hurt us. I know he won’t hurt us, Shay, but do I deserve him?

Stop it, we deserve him and so much more. I hope so, Shay.

I start making breakfast: eggs, pancakes, French toast, fruit, bacon, sausage, and fried potatoes. It took me about forty minutes. When I was almost done, Taylor came out and sat on the chair in front of the kitchen island.

Coffee? Yes, just sugar. Handing Taylor a cup of coffee, if you need more sugar, let me know. No, this is great, and the food smells delicious . Thanks, turning around blushing at his compliment.

A few minutes later, my brothers and their mates all come in. Do you need any help, Izzy?asks Devin.

No, I’m just gonna put everything here on the island, and you guys can serve yourselves.

It smells really good, Izzy, says Alicia. It’s always good, says Liam. My sister is a great cook.

Everyone got their food and went and sat at the table to eat. I sat at the island with Taylor.

This is great, Izzy, thank you, says Taylor, giving me a kiss on the cheek. There was a knock at the door, and Zack got up to answer it.

Yum, it smells really good, where’s my food, says Jarred. In my belly, says Taylor. Jarred pouts, “Hey, that’s not fair.”

I just laugh and hand Jarred a plate of food. Thanks, Izzy. At least my Luna loves me.

Hey, don’t go that far, Jarred. I never said I loved you. I just didn’t want you to starve. And everyone starts laughing.

I feel the love, Izzy, Taylor growls, and Jarred gets this stupid look on his face. Now, now, Taylor, no animals at the table, says Jarred.

Everyone starts laughing. Taylor just glares at Jarred. I rub Taylor’s shoulder. It’s okay, Taylor. You can get him back later.

He can ride in the trunk back to the pack. Jarred frowns at Taylor. You wouldn’t!

Are you sure about that? Arching his eyebrow, Jarred just stares at him, not sure if Taylor would do that. I just giggle, “Be nice, Taylor. I am being nice; he’s not in the trunk yet.” I shake my head and go back to eating.

Jarred takes a seat and starts to eat. This is great, Izzy, thank you. As he glares at Taylor.

Taylor has this smirk on his face. Knowing that Jarred is glaring at him.

Taylor’s POV

The night went really well; the best sleep I have had in a long time. And waking up to Izzy there’s nothing like it. Even though we didn’t do anything, I felt so at peace.

I’m gonna go at Izzy’s pace; I have waited this long, what’s a few more days?

I’m really worried how she is gonna take the fact that I know who she is. I tell Ry. I’m not sure, Shay says it could go either way. And she would accept whatever decision Izzy made.

But Shay did say you need to tell her and her brothers today, or she will. She does not like to keep secrets from Izzy since what her parents did to her. It is hard for Izzy to trust.

I know Ry, I’m just worried how she is gonna take that I have her parents in my dungeon.

“Let’s get going,” said Jarred. A lot of people are waiting for us. “ Let me clean up first,” said Izzy. With everyone helping, it took us only a few minutes.

Time to go, Everyone starts walking out the door, Izzy was still standing there.

Shay, I’m scared, what if they don’t like me? Who could not like you? Well, my parents didn’t. I know, but they are not your parents. Give it a chance; they might surprise you.

I walk over and grab Izzy’s hand. It will be okay, my love, I promise.

We all have some things we need to discuss.

Okay, Taylor, holding on tighter to his hand and walking to the cars.

We all drove in silence. I could see the looks on Izzy and her brothers’ faces. They all seemed a little uptight.

Hey guys, it’s gonna be okay. Nothing bad is gonna happen at the pack.

They all nod, but I knew they were still scared.

Since they all ran away from Alpha Tony.

Izzy’s POV

We all sit in silence going to the Blue Moon Pack. I can tell my brothers are scared since we ran away from our last pack.

We will be fine, Iz says. I know I trust Taylor. I’m just worried about what he wants to talk about. He’s a good man, and he’s been waiting for you for years. Just keep an open mind.

I trust you, Shay.

We arrive at the gates to the Blue Moon Pack, and it’s like a city all in its own. You really don’t need to leave the pack for anything.

They have a movie theater, bar, clubs, Game Center for kids, parks, library, schools, restaurants, hotels, and even a mall. The mall and hotels are at the edge of the pack lands so humans and shifters can use them.

The mall is just outside the gates next to the hotels, all except for one. The hotel sits in the middle of the fence. The fence connects to the hotel on both sides . You can go through the hotel to get to the banquet hall that is on the pack lands.

Everything is on Blue Moon Pack lands, explains Taylor. I wanted others to be able to use the mall and the hotels for the business. Even other packs come shopping here.

It’s safe for shifters and humans. Both are able to use the hotels and the mall, creating more business for our pack.

They just don’t have access to the actual pack lands.

When we have parties, the hotel is used for the entrance to the banquet hall. Never letting other packs that far on our actual pack grounds.

We usually have our meetings at the hotels or the banquet hall.

Very few Alphas have been on our actual pack grounds.

And you don’t see the fence due to all the trees , so the humans don’t see our pack lands; they just see forest surrounding the hotel.

And the main gate to the pack lands is nowhere near the mall or the hotels. As we drive further in, I see beautiful houses scattered throughout.

Some are in cul-de-sacs, others behind gates. They are gorgeous. I even saw some log cabins. They were cute.

It took thirty minutes to get to the pack house from the main gate. They even had grocery stores. This is amazing. My brothers were just as stunned as I was. I just love it here.

We get to the pack house.

It’s old-fashioned. It was made of all brick. It was a beautiful, six-story building with flowers all around it. It had a porch with a swing on it so you could sit and look at the stars.

That would be my favorite spot. With forest all around the pack. I couldn’t wait to explore.

We walked in the front door, and I was speechless. All wooden floors with a desk as you walk in with a woman there to greet you.

Good morning, Alpha, Beta, hi Alicia, Sara. Who might these lovely gentlemen be? These are our mates, Liam and Zack, and this is their older brother, Devin.

And who is the pretty young lady? Oh, hi, I’m Izzy, Izzy Gomez. Well, it’s my pleasure to meet you all. I’m Stella. Let me know if you need anything.

To the right, there was a set of stairs and two guards in front of it.

And it’s not too far from the stairs was an elevator. Taylor starts to explain the pack house to us.

The sixth floor is for the Alpha and his family.

The fifth floor is offices and meeting rooms.

The fourth floor houses the Beta and Gamma families.

The third floor houses all special visitors like Alphas and so on.

The second and first floors house any pack members that are single that want to stay in the pack house.

As for our parents, they live behind the gated houses we passed by earlier.

Closer to the edge of the pack lands, we have a ballroom that’s where the pack meets. So you have a ballroom and a banquet hall? Asks Izzy. Yes, we do; they are connected. Our pack is so big that we had to have a place that all members would fit.

Stella, we are going to the meeting room. Can you please have someone bring drinks and snacks?

Yes, right away, Alpha. She picks up the phone as we all go to the elevator. When we get in, Jarred uses his thumbprint to be able to pick a floor. Only the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma have access to all the floors; everyone else only has access to their own floors.

Omegas have a code that they punch in that gives them access to the areas they work in that day.

Every day, those codes change, making it impossible for someone else to gain access.

So half use thumbprints and the other use codes.

Yes, the workers use a different elevator to go up stairs. One that is more accommodating for them.

Omegas are treated equally here; they get paid for the job they do, and they don’t have separate quarters; they have the same rights as everybody else. Even for special events, says Taylor. I look at him with amazement.

We get to the fifth floor, and I can see Devin looking around like he was missing something. Devin, are you okay? Yes, I’m fine.

Devin’s POV

Taylor opens the door to the meeting room, and there sits the most beautiful redhead; she smells of lilacs. She’s about five foot eleven, and her body, oh her body— you can tell she works out a lot. She is trim and lean. She looks at me, and we both say, “Mate,” at the same time.

Oliver is going crazy in my head. Telling me to mark mate.

Taylor chuckles. “ Devin, I would like you to meet Abby Foster, my gamma.”

I walk over and reach out my hand, and Abby takes it.

Abby, why don’t you take Devin to your office? Why wait for the omegas to bring snacks and drinks? No, we are okay till after the meeting replies both at the same time. Looking at each other. Are you sure? Yes, Alpha, replies Abby.

I could get lost in her hazel eyes,

says Oliver.

They have a pinch of grey in them, I mumble, but I know what you mean, Oli. Our mate is gorgeous. We both sit down on the couch holding hands.

Abby’s POV

I was reading the report that Beta Jarred asked me to go over for the company, and I started to smell hot chocolate and coffee. The smell was something I have never smelled before; it was delicious, making my mouth water. Mia started going crazy, saying she smells mate.

Impossible, I have been looking for him for years. In walks the most handsome man I have ever seen. He has black hair; it’s messy but looks good. His body is like a sculpture; he’s well-fit.

I wonder what’s under those clothes, says Mia. He has these piercing green eyes like he can see straight through you.

He smells like rouge but doesn’t at the same time. He has to be around six foot one because I’m tall, but he’s still taller than I am.

He seems really gentle. And he has a deep, raspy voice. I just love it.

Abby, this is Devin, Zack, Liam, and Izzy, my mate, says Taylor.

I look up in shock, looking at the woman next to Taylor. She is perfect for him.

I stand up and go over and hug her. Izzy, we are gonna be close. And I just adore you already. Izzy smiles at her. Thank you! I can’t wait to get to know you better.

Abby, let go of my mate. Oh, sorry. Letting her go and going back to sit with Devin. Devin pulls me closer, and I just feel so relaxed. I could curl up and take a nap.

I just have to smile at my big bro; he finally found his mate that he has been longing for.

He seems at peace finally.

Taylor’s POV

This couldn’t have worked out better. My gamma and Izzy’s brother thank you moon goddess.

A few minutes later someone knocks on the door, it’s the omegas with snacks and drinks.

They put everything one the table and excuse their selves from the room.

Taylor? Tony, Richard, Lily and Thomas are here Jarred mind links. And Sally is with them too.

Have Stella let them up. Jarred go meet them and bring them in.

Yes Alpha. A few minutes later in walks Sally, Richard, Lily, Thomas and last was Tony.

Everyone looks stunned. Like they can’t believe their eyes.

I clear my throat and I tell everyone take a seat and I will explain things.

We can all talk after.

Everyone takes a seat and are looking at each other.

Izzy looks mad. And I can feel her anger and frustration.

Well this is not how I planned this.

I clear my throat and began explaining. How I met Alpha Tony the day after they left the pack. How I have felt Izzy’s pain since I was sixteen and everything since.

Tony explained to the boys about his parents and how they have been in custody since the day that they left. I also told Taylor about your grandparents and your uncle.

Devin explained what had happened and why they didn’t go to Tony but instead they had went to their grandparents and they helped them.

We were not sure you would help us Tony without our parents knowing and we couldn’t take that chance when it came to Izzy. They had already threatened to kill one of us.

We planned it for over five years. We just needed Izzy and Liam to turn eighteen.

Where are my parents asks Izzy quietly?

looking at my mate, they are in my dungeon. We had them moved here about a week ago. Tony started getting rouge attacks so we moved them here. No one knows they are here.

Lily starts to cry she had no ideal her daughter had been locked up.

Looking at Lily I’m sorry but what happened to your grandchildren can not go unpunished.

I know I just wish I knew exactly what happened.

Sally finally spoke up. I think I can help with that. If Izzy is okay with it.

Izzy looks at me with tears in her eyes. Then at at Sally.

Yes that is fine but after I want to leave.

I looked at my mate shocked. Can we talk first just you and me Izzy I pleaded.

You should have talked to me before you did this.

I told you Ry said. So no, after this I will be going home.

My brothers can stay I will leave with my grandparents.

Sally walks over and she smiles softly at Izzy and she tells her what she needs her to do.

Izzy just nods and moves the chair and sets it in front of Sally. They both sit down and Sally takes Izzy hands and she asks her if she’s ready Izzy takes a deep breath and says yes.

Sally starts to chant and a few minutes later vivid pictures start showing, you can hear gasps, and crying. Tears run down my face as I see all the things my parents had done to me. All of it my father. My mother just went along with everything he did. Sally showed me some different pictures, things I have never seen before or I don’t remember. Izzy this is what could be if you give it a chance. I look at her and ask her how is this possible. These are part of my powers Izzy. If you give Taylor the chance this is what your life could be.

Sally finally stopped and squeezed my hand a little tighter letting me know she was sorry for my past. I gave her a slight smile and let go of her hands.

I can’t believe our mate is not going to talk to us I tell Ry. Give her time this is a lot for her say’s Ry. We should have talked to her first.

I agree says Ry. The room is quiet till Izzy says , I want to see my parents if that is possible . We would also like to see them say’s my brothers and grandparents.

Yes of course that’s not a problem at all.

Just so you know we had to take everything from your father he was trying to hurt himself.

That’s fine we don’t care about that.

Uncle Thomas was quiet the whole time. But you could see the anger he had after he saw what had happened. He gave me a hug and a kiss on my head.

Can we go see my parents now I ask Taylor. He held out his hand to me and I just looked at it, please Izzy, he said pleading. I knew he was not at fault but I still wished he had talked to me. I reluctantly took his hand and he sighed with relief.

Everyone followed us to the elevator.

Half went with us and the other half went with Jarred.

Eventually we all met in front of the dungeon.

It didn’t even look like a dungeon. It didn’t have cells it had rooms. It was clean. I was surprised.
