Chapter three

Taylor’s POV

I follow Alpha Tony to the dungeon. We walk up this little hill on the edge of the forest. The next thing I know, a door is sliding open, and we are walking down a set of stairs. I ran past this earlier, and I never knew it was here. Very nice.

When you get to the bottom of the stairs, there is a steel door. And 2 guards by it. They both bow their heads, saying Alpha as the door slides open.

I walk into the room, and there are six cells. The place is clean and well taken care of. Each cell has a cot, a blanket, and a toilet. I laugh to myself, “No privacy, slick move.” Well, I guess that’s better than it being all smelly down here.

As I walk further in, I see a woman sitting in the corner crying and repeating the same thing over and over again: “ I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”

I walk up closer, and the woman wasn’t very big, maybe five foot six, and had to weigh about a hundred and fifty pounds, if that. She has short black hair, a round-shaped face. She’s pretty, but you can tell time has been hard on her.

Alpha Taylor, I would like you to meet Janie. She is Izzy’s mom.

I look at her, and I wonder how could a mother do something like this to her own child.

I clear my throat. My name is Alpha Taylor Diaz. Her eyes got big, and she stutters, “You, you mean like Taylor Diaz… Diaz, the billionaire of the Diaz Corporation.”

The Alpha over the Blue Moon pack, the biggest and strongest pack. Yes, that would be me. I came here to ask you a few questions about your daughter, Izzy.

She starts crying and saying, “ I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”

Alpha Tony steps next to me and tells me that’s all he’s been able to get out of her when we start talking about Izzy.

I step up to the bars, looking at her, “sighing.” Janie, I need you to focus. She mumbles something, I didn’t understand any of it.

Jarred mind links me, Taylor, you’re not going to get anything out of her. Why don’t we talk to the husband?

I believe you’re right, Jarred.

Alpha, where is the husband?

He’s in another part of the cells; he wasn’t cooperating.

Can we see him because I’m not going to get anything from her.

Alpha Tony steps forward and goes to another steel door, and after a few minutes, the door slides open. We step through it, and the door closes behind us.

It smells like pee and everything else; I almost want to puke. I put on a straight face and walk up to the cell where Izzy’s father is.

He’s about five foot eleven, brown hair, and green eyes.

Hello, Pete, my name is Alpha Taylor Diaz. His eyes go big; he lifts up his head and says, “What would an Alpha like you want with me?”

Well, it would seem that we have something in common, and that would be your daughter. He starts laughing and says, “ I don’t have a daughter; I have a w****; she will never be my daughter.”

Is that why you hurt her? He stands up and walks over to the bars looking at me with curiosity. “ NO, I HURT HER BECAUSE SHE DESERVES IT. She is a useless girl without a wolf; she couldn’t even get that right. I wish I would have killed her.”

I’m livid, and Ry is trying to take over. Jarred walks up and puts a hand on my shoulder. “ It’s okay, Ry; we will find her. Calm down.” Ry growls, and Pete takes a step back.

“

SHE IS MY MATE, YOU STUPID HUMAN.”

“

You will pay for everything you have done to her and her brothers. I will find her, and I will be back.”

Turning around and leaving the dungeon.

Izzy’s POV

It’s been three years since my brothers saved me. My life couldn’t be better;

I got my GED and started college with Liam. We are in our third year of med school, and I’m loving every bit of it.

I feel bad for Devin; he’s twenty-four now and has yet to find his mate, and it’s all my fault. He doesn’t blame me; he blames our parents.

Zack doesn’t want a mate, so he doesn’t mind, but I do, and I know Liam is waiting for his mate.

Tomorrow Liam and I turn twenty-one, and I can’t wait. All of our friends are coming over, and we’re having a big party.

We met a few wolves from another pack around the city, but they don’t tell us anything about being rouges. They just accepted us for who we are. They told us they can introduce us to their Alpha. But Devin said no. He doesn’t want our old pack to find us.

I personally think it’s time. It’s time we stop hiding. They can’t hurt us anymore.

It just turned midnight the day of our birthday, and I keep getting a horrible headache like something is trying to push forward.

“ Izzy, are you okay?” says Zack. “Yes, yes, I’m fine. I just…” grabbing my head, and Liam catching me before I fall.

“ What’s wrong, Izzy?”I’m not…as tears begin to fall. It hurts. “ Hello, Izzy. I hear a voice I never heard before. I’m Shay, your wolf.

I need you to breathe and relax so we can shift. What, what do you mean shift?” I say out loud.

Devin grabs Izzy. “We need to get her outside into the forest. Zack, go grab another pair of clothes. Izzy is gonna need it.

Liam, stay close to her. You’re her twin. You can help her the most,” says Devin.

“

Izzy, relax and let your wolf do all the work.”

Listen to him, Izzy. This will be fast and easy if you just relax. Easier said than done, Izzy replies. Shay chuckles.

I hear the breaking of bones, and the next thing I know, I’m looking at white and gold paws.

“You’re gorgeous,” Liam says. “You’re beautiful,” Devin says. I’ve never seen a white and gold wolf before. And you’re so big.

The size of you, I would think, you’re an Alpha,” says Devin. We are an Alpha, and that’s because we’re special.

What do you mean we’re special? Don’t you remember the moon goddess telling you you’re special? Yes, but how are we special, Shay?

I’m sorry, Izzy. I can’t tell you yet. Would you like to go for a run, Shay? Yes, please. I nudge Liam and them, and I take off running.

A few minutes later, I hear a few howls, I finally hear my brothers coming.

We chase each other for a while, then we go hunting. After a few hours, I’m finally tired. I tell Shay it’s time to go home. We get back to the house, and I look at my clothes, “Um, Shay, how do I change back?” Picture yourself as a human.

The next thing I know, I’m n***d standing at the edge of the forest. Shay starts laughing at my embarrassment.

I garb my clothes and put them on really fast. “ You could have warned me,” I say. “Sulking,” Shay chuckles and lays down going to sleep.

I mumble, “Some help you are.” Shay just chuckles and falls asleep.

Taylor POV

I have been looking for Izzy for eight years now. Every since I turned sixteen, I haven’t bothered with other women due to the fact that they only want one thing: money and what comes with being my mate.

My Beta, Jarred, and I have traveled the world, and still, I haven’t found her. I used to feel her when I was younger. She was in a lot of pain. And now I can feel her, but she seems happy. I’m hoping it’s not because she found someone else.

My pack members ran into a few rouges in the city, and they seem to really like them, saying they’re different. One runs a workout studio, and he’s a full-time trainer. I heard his name is Devin. His brother, Zack, is a corporate lawyer. I heard he’s one of the best. And he runs a security business with the help of Devin.

Then there’s Liam, and his younger sister, both on their last year of medical school. They never really say much about the sister except that she is really kind and pretty and she’s a great cook.

I told Rusty he should bring them to the pack, but Devin said no.

I heard that Liam and his younger sister are turning twenty-one tomorrow, and they are throwing a party, and everyone is invited, including me.

It’s not something I would usually go to, but this family is very impressive. I looked into them; they all graduated at the top of their class. Devin even has a degree in business.

Jarred, be ready by five and bring your sister, Sara, with you because I’m bringing Alicia.

Jarred starts laughing. “We’re bringing our sisters as dates.” I arch an eyebrow at him. “Is that a problem?” No, he mumbles.

Abby, yes, Alpha… you’re in charge of the pack tonight. Abby Foster is my gamma, and she had to fight for that position. Just like my Beta, even though he’s my best friend.

I don’t believe you get anything without earning it, except for the Luna position that was given to her by the moon goddess herself. And your mate only makes you stronger.

Taylor’s POV

Everyone was ready by five to go to the party. My sister and Sara looked beautiful like always.

“

Thanks for bringing us tonight,” says Alicia. “It’s been a while since we’ve done anything together.” Taylor hugs his sister and tells her it’s only because I didn’t want to hear you cry to Mom and Dad about me not spending time with you.

Alicia smacks Taylor in his arm. “ I can’t believe you said that while pouting.” I chuckle while Jarred starts laughing.

We arrived at this little blue and white house. It’s was beautiful, flowers and trees all around it.

You can see everyone in the backyard drinking and laughing having a great time. This is cute house Taylor who does it belong too say’s Alicia. A family called the Gomez’s they’re rouges they have done very well for themselves.

I came to meet the family and see if I can get them to join our pack even if they choose to keep living here at least it will give them some kind of security and they won’t be rouges.

Izzy’s POV

The house is packed with people and they all seem to be having a great time. It’s nice to see my brothers so happy and carefree. I’m just sorry we had to leave home to finally be happy. It’s been a long road to recovery but I’m finally starting to let go I don’t get bad dreams as often.

I have a few months left and Liam and I will finally become Doctors it’s been a long road but I’ve loved every minute of it. Now I just got to find a hospital to do my residency at.

Liam already found his. And I’m happy for him. I’ve gotten five offers from different hospitals I just haven’t decided which one yet.

Liam wants me with him but I want to venture out on my own and be a little more independent. Devin thinks it’s good that I want that.

Zack says he just wants me safe and happy. So the decision is mine. I’m so happy I got my wolf last night but my brothers told me not to show anyone. They said they have never seen a wolf like her and want to do some research on her.

I understand so Shay and I are just gonna have to be careful.

Shay what’s your problem settle down your giving me a headache. You are a headache Izzy so it shouldn’t matter. Hey be nice! Shay just chuckles. Let’s go get changed for this party.
