Chapter 12As I drive home, the heat becomes very oppressive and I can feel the pressure in the atmosphere that usually heralds a storm. By the time I reach the house, the sky is beginning to blacken. I call to Patricia as I enter the door to advise her to rescue the washing from the line before the heavens open. She thanks me and asks me to help by retrieving the cushions from the chairs outside. We are just in time as some huge drops of rain are beginning to fall. When we are seated, enjoying our meal, Patricia asks me about my day.
