The receptionist smiled and chuckled. 'Mrs. Alison, I have some wonderful news for you. Your daughter's condition is improving. Her surgery was a success! She's recovering well now.
Alison felt a wave of joy wash over her, tears of happiness streaming down her face. She turned to Mr. Dre, beaming with joy, to share the good news. 'Honey, the doctor said Ariel's surgery was a success! She's going to be okay!'
'That's great,' he said curtly, his voice devoid of emotion. 'It's all part of the contract, anyway, Mr. Dre said as he barely looked up from his phone, his eyes fixed on his screen
His cold actions made Alison feel bad but because of the news she just heard, she was still beaming with happiness.
She got into her room, took her purse, and was about to leave for the Hospital when Zara stopped her and asked her, Mom where are we? She was afraid her mom was leaving her and her brother in a house they didn't know.

They got home and Ariel was happy to see her siblings. She left her mom and went to play with her siblings.

Derick's arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her close as they lost themselves in the kiss. Alison felt like she was melting into his embrace.

Mr Dre came back home and noticed that Alison was focused on her phone and she was smiling.
'Who are you chatting with?' her husband, Mr. Dre, demanded, his eyes scanning the screen.
Alison's heart skipped as she realized she had been caught. 'No one, just a friend,' she tried to explain.
