CHAPTER 12.1: Smiley CEO

Chelsea's POV

I'm here at the Halston Corp building. Madie and I are here at the reception desk waiting for the devil CEO.

What was taking her too long?

Suddenly, she appeared, and she was f*****g smiling. She even bowed to the old woman who passed by her. She also greeted the employees happily.

Shit! The devil is smiling.

"Madie, do you see what I'm seeing?"

"Yes, Ms. Halston, I can see it clearly."

"So I'm not hallucinating."

"I'm afraid you're not"

"Is the devil smiling?"

"Yes"

"Bowed?"

"Yes"

"Greeting?"

"Yes"

"Is it the end of the world?"

"Maybe"

"Is she skipping like a teen towards us smiling?"

"Yes"

"Madie, can you slap me?"

"I can't. I might lose my job."

"Unnie!!" Avery called me happily.

"Madie, did she just call me unnie happily?"

"Yes"

"Goodmorning, Unnie and Madie," She greeted us while showing her gummy smile.

"Good morning, Ms. Halston," Madie greeted her and bowed.

"Are you Avery Halston?" I asked her. I'm still stunned by her attitude today.

"Unnie, you didn't greet me like Madie," She grumbled and pouted. The devil pouted.

"Goodmorning as well, Avery." She hugged me suddenly and I froze.

"Let's go to the event place." She grabbed my arm and we rode in her car.

"Avery?" I called her

"Hmm?"

"Jane?"

"Yes?"

"Erie?"

"Why?" She let me to call her that nickname, who the hell is this?!?.

"Who are you??"

"What do you mean?" She looked at me confused.

"Who are you? Where is my devil cousin? Where is she?!?!" I exclaimed

"Unnie, I'm Avery Jane Halston, the one and only. I'm not the Devil, unnie, and can you calm down. "

"If you are Avery, why are you so happy and smiley today? Where is the devil, cold, rude one?"

"There was just something good that happened to me last night, you know, and I slept really well."

"Dont tell me you r***d Alexa!?!?"

"No!! I am not!! Why would I do that? I am not like that. I respect her. " She defended

"Then what did you do to my Poopoo?!?!"

"She is not yours, unnie!!! She's already mine, so don't call her your poopoo because she's MY ALLIE," She emphasizes.

"Ms. Halston's, we have arrived," Bobby informed us, and we got out of the car.

"Ms. Halston, the head of staff, wants to talk to you about an important matter." Madie informed Avery and they went to the tent of staff.

I think I should call Alexa because this b***h is so smiley, kind, and happy.

Alex

C: "Hello, Alex!"

A: "Why did you call Unnie?"

C: "I want to ask you something."

A: "Spill it, Seah"

C: "What happened last night between you and Avery?"

A: "Oh! I asked her to be my girlfriend and we had a date last night."

C: "That's it?"

A: "Nope, I gave her some paper flowers that I made and a butterfly necklace that I found when I was roaming around Seoul."

C: "Where did the two of you go last night?"

A: "I choose the orphanage because I wanted to share my childhood memories with her, and we went to the Han River to watch the waterscape. Don't be concerned, unnie we went home for dinner."

C: "Did you had fun?"

A: "Yes! I think it is fun."

C: "Are you busy now?"

A: "I'm at my part-time job now. Why?"

C: "Nothing. I have to go now. Be careful, okay?"

A: "Okay, you as well."

The Call Ends

That's why Avery is happy and smiley, huh? Finally, she is finally the girlfriend. It was actually the first time I saw her smiley and happy. I even saw her gummy smile again.

I miss this Avery Jane.

"Ms. Halston, it's good to see you here." Someone spoke at my back and I looked back.

"Who are you?"

"Ouch! You are hurting my feelings, Ms. Halston. It's me, Kade, the son of the CEO of W Entertainment. "

"I'm sorry I don't know you."

"Ms. Halston, I think you should."

"And why?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I will be your cousin-in-law soon," Huh? I'm confused now.

I think he is my cousins boyfriend

"Why? Are you engaged to Tristan? "

"No!! I'm not gay. "

"So what do you mean by cousin in law?"

"I will marry Avery soon." I laughed at him.

"That's a funny joke, hahahaha Thank you for making me laugh. That is a nice joke."

"I'm not making this up, Ms. Halston."

"Oh really? I thought you were joking. "

"I am not Ms. Halston. Sooner or later, we will be relatives."

"No thanks, I'm not interested in being your relative. So get lost, brat "

"Just accept it that Im going to marry Avery."

"How are you going to marry her?"

"My dad and her parents will merge our companies if we get married."

"Did uncle really talk to your dad about that matter?" He is now nervous. "Did he?"

He is sweating now. He even lied.

"Okay, lie to yourself, man. In our family, we hate liars. "

"I'm not lying."

"Yes you are. Your dog should get lost and hide behind your father's back. We hate liars and people who are full of themselves. " I leave him.

He is annoying and he is full of himself. I think I should ask Avery about that dog.

"Avery"

"Why?"

"Did you know Kade?"

"The dog of mine?"

"Nope, the son of W Entertainment."

"Not really, but his father is forcing me to marry his son."

"Really? His son talked to me earlier and he said that I'd be his cousin-in-law in the future because he is going to marry you. "

"Cocky"

"Yeah, I think you should avoid that guy."

"Don't worry, I love Allie and I will never like that kind of guy." She said while looking at the blue print.

"So girlfriends now huh?" She looked at me confusedly.

"She even gave you that necklace you are wearing. Where did you put the paper flowers? "

"How did you know?"

"Connections?"

"Did you stalk me?"

"Nope, I asked Alex and she said she had fun last night."

"Really!?!?!" She exclaimed and smiled, "Did she really say that she had fun last night?"

"Yes she is. I am not lying because I am not a liar."

"I think I should call her to check on her." She was about to get her phone from her purse but I stopped her.

"Later, she is now working."

"Where?"

"I dont know, Im not sure. Don't ask someone to find her, you know she hates that. "

"Fine," She whined.

"Ms. Halston's, tommorow will be the rehearsals of the performers." Madie informed us and we nodded.

It is now lunch time. Bobby drove us to a fancy restaurant. We asked for a private room since me and Avery are well known here in the country and we wanted some privacy. We ate, and I separated from them because Avery would be going back to her office.

I went to a bookstore to buy a book because I wanted to entertain myself by reading some novels, poems, and etc. While I was browsing the books here in the novels section, I saw someone drop her books. I help her because she is struggling.

"Here, Miss," I said as I handed her a book, "Can you carry all of these without falling?"

"Oh! Yes, I'm sorry if I disturbed you. "

Wow, actually she is pretty and cute, but after I heard her angelic voice, I think she is an angel.

"It's fine, don't worry. Can I ask where you are going to bring these books? "

"Ahh to the librarian desk"

"Let me get these" I hold some of her books for her.

"Let's go"

"You do have to help me."

"It is fine. Let's go so you can rest because you know it's kind of heavy to carry them. "

"Yeah you are right"

We proceeded to the librarian's desk and she punched them. This girl gave her card, and she paid for them. She put some of her books in her bag and some she held. I looked at the book she is holding and it is about medicine, or anything that is related to being a doctor.

"Do you want to be a doctor?" I asked her and she looked at the book she was holding.

"Ahh, no, it's not for me anymore, it's for my friend."

"Oh! So your friend is a doctor or soon to be? "

"Soon to be, she is in her 4th year of college now."

"Oh! So how about you?"

"2nd yr college"

"Course?"

"Music"

"Oh! Nice course "

"Yeah, though some people think it is a waste of time."

"But it is not. Actually, I'm working in entertainment right now. "

"Really?!?!" She exclaimed and the librarian glared at her.

"Yes I am, but I think we should talk outside. We can find a cafe."

"Yeah let's go"

We found a cafe and found a nice spot to sit. We ordered a latte and a slice of cake.

"I think we should introduce each other first," She suggested, and I nodded.

"I am Chelsea Blair Halston. Nice to meet you."

"I am Kiara Blythe Welton, but you can call me Kiara."

"Age?"

"20, you?"

"26"

"Really? I thought I was older than you. "

"But you are not"

"So you are working at an entertainment company?"

"Yes I am"

"Which entertainment?"

"Halston Entertainment"

"You mean the Halston from the Halston Empire?"

"Yes it is"

"So, your boss is Ms. Avery Halston?"

"Kinda"

"Kinda?" I nodded because I was just helping my cousin.

"Cool! I actually met her and she is intimidating as hell, but she is pretty and a fashionista. "

"You are a fan of her?"

"Not really, but I admire her fashion style." She knew my cousin but not me. She is pretty interesting.

"Yeah, she had a good sense of fashion."

"Let's stop talking about her and let's talk about ourselves."

"What do you want to be in the future?"

"A singer or a song writer, I don't know anything that relates to music."

"You should work hard to achieve those dreams of yours."

"Yeah, I think I should. How about your work?"

"It's fine, kinda stressful, but I can handle it."

"Are you having fun working?"

"Sometimes it depends on the situation."

"Can I ask more personal questions?"

"Yeah sure"

"Are you married?"

"I'm afraid not, hahaha I'm single and ready to mingle. "

"Ahhmm, how about your s****l preference?"

"101% gay"

"Oh! Me too"

"So we both like girls"

"Yes we are"

"Actually, I hate men except my dad and some relatives."

"Why though?"

"I don't know, sometimes I find them gross. They are sometimes cocky and I really hate that."

"It's fine, feel free to hate them, hahaha" We laughed.

We kept talking and we didnt notice the time. We only leave the cafe when she needs to go to their family dinner. She is funny, pretty, cute, and kind. I got her phone number so we can hangout again sometime.

It was nice to get to know her.
