CHAPTER 14: Brother-In-Law

Avery's POV

I messed up big time. I f*****g hurt my Allie. Im so stupid. Being jealous is not enough reason to hurt her. What should I do? I can't believe Allie did all of that for the sake of my family's and my happiness. Why did I not use my f*****g brain? I'm the one who is stupid, dumb, an i***t, and a fool.

How was I going to face her and all of them last night? I really f****d up big time.

I was cut off from my thoughts when I heard my phone ring.

Unknown is calling.....

On The Phone

Ave: Hello? Who is this?

Unknown: Your worst nightmare

Ave: I don't have time to joke around.

Ash: Alexa's brother

Ave: Oh! Good morning.

Ash: Good afternoon, Ms. Halston.

Ave: Ah, yeah. Good afternoon. May I know why you called me?

Ash: I want to talk to you. Come to the Morning Cafe in 30 minutes. I'll be waiting.

The Call Ends

Shit! Why the hell does he want to talk to me? Did he know what happened between me and Alexa? f**k, I think I need to write my goodbye letter.

I rush to the bathroom. I took a shower and put my clothes on quickly. I wear shades because I want to hide my puffy eyes. I went down the stairs. I saw Chelsea unnie, Sammy, Kiara, and Madie here in the living room.

"Where are you going Avery?" Chelsea Unnie asked me.

"Im going to meet Ashton. "I dashed outside, tossing my purse into the passenger seat.I drove fast to the Morning Cafe and I went inside and I saw Ashton.

He looked at his watch.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Do you really love my sister?"

"Yes, I really love her"

"Do you think I'm going to believe that?"

"If I need to prove it, I'm going to do it."

"Did you ever sacrifice something for her?" I was caught off guard because Alexa is the only one doing all the moves. I always get jealous and upset at her. I was always the one who had a problem in our relationship.

"As expected, I can't believe that my oblivious, dense, stupid, i***t, fool, and dumb sister is the only one who does the sacrificing here."

"How did you know about that?"

"I saw it online and it got blocked quickly. However, I saw the whole video of it on how Ms. Chelsea Halston protected my sister, and I wanted to share it with you. "

After he leaves the cafe, I also leave. I went home to the mansion, and I kept finding my parents and friends here. I saw them in the garden talking and laughing. I saw my parents laughing and smiling. I ran towards my mom and dad and I hugged them.

"Oh! Avery Jane, what happened? " Dad asked worriedly if he was hugging me.

"Jane, tell us what you want us to do." Mom claimed I simply shook my head. I miss this feeling, hugging your parents.

I just became cold because of my grandpa. He said that being bubbly, kind, and lovely ca protect me. He trained me to become a strict CEO, which is why I lost the old Avery. Also, some of my so-called friends just use me because I have money and fame. I always think that people who try to befriend me only want my money and fame.

"Mom and Dad, I'm sorry." I apologize to them and know they are shocked.

"Why? Did you do something wrong? " Mom asked me.

"Don't tell me you're selling our company," Dad joked, and Mom smacked him.

"Oliver your daughter is serious. Stop joking around."

"Tell us Avery what you did?"

"I didn't become a good daughter to both of you. Actually, I didnt really become your daughter because I distanced myself from you both and always gave you both the cold shoulder. "

"It's fine, Avery. I'm sorry if we let Dad train you. " Mom apologized.

"We shouldn't let Dad turn you into a little devil," Dad joked again, and Mom smacked him. We laughed because of his silliness.

"We might," Mom said, glaring at Dad, who gulped.I turned around and saw Chelsea, Kiara, Sam, and Madie.

"Forgiven?" I asked them.

"Yeah, I'll be back with My Allie." I ran outside and I rode my car. I drove to the Star Cafe and saw her making coffee.

"Good Afternoon Welcome to Star Cafe! What is your order?" A girl with short hair said.

"I want a iced americano and a Alexandra Smith or Alexa."

"All right, Ma'am, just find a seat and I'll bring her to you." I nodded

I wait here on the second floor for my coffee and for my Allie. Suddenly, someone put my coffee in front of me and I looked at her. It's Allie.

"Hi Allie!"

"Hello Avie!" She smiled at me.

"Can I have you instead of this coffee?"

"You can have both, Avie," She said as she sat in front of me. "So? Why are you here?"

"For my coffee and my Allie"

"Am I supposed to sit here and watch you drink your coffee?"

Unnie is really stressing me out. I wonder how it feels to kiss Allie's pouty lips. When she kissed my cheeks, it was so soft and warm and I loved it. I still freaking love it.

I'm watching my Allie work. She really looks f*****g good in her apron. She is making coffee and she really looks hot just by doing it. I really love her.
