CHAPTER 8: Crowd

Alexa's POV

I got off the uber car. As I walked around the campus, I saw a lot of students looking at me. It looks like the news that they saw me with the owners had spread already. I checked my phone and I saw on the school page my picture with Mom and Dad.

"ALEXA!!!" It was probably Sam. I stopped and I looked at her. When she got near me, she dragged me to a vacant room.

"I have explaining to do?" I asked her and she nodded.

"It's just that I met the owners, that's it."

"Yeah, we know you met the owners, but I know there is something more to it." I sighed Sam really knows me.

"They talked to me about their daughter, and they said that their daughter was in love with me. They want me to marry her, but I refuse. I told them I do have feelings about her, but they said I should try. So, their daughter is going to make me fall in love with her. That's the end of the story. "

"Wow, that is quite a lot to sink in. It looks like I'm going to see you in the future loving someone. "

"Yeah, probably. Okay, keep it a secret. Help me also to answer the students' questions if they ask me. Be my spokesperson."

"Don't worry, I got you. I'm going to make a story. You know I'm good at that. "

"Yeah, I trust you." We got in our room and I knew the students were looking at me. I sat down in my seat and that was the cue for the students to come at me and bombard me with questions. I let Sam answer their questions.

Our class ended. I felt my phone vibrate. I got a notification. I opened it and it was the school page. There is a post saying that I'm close to the owners because I'm their scholar. It's not a bad article actually. Suddenly, I received a call from an unknown number and I ignored it because I'm not the type of person who answers the phone when someone is calling and my friends know that. We went to our next room since we still have class.

"Ms. Alexandra Smith, could you proceed to the principal room now?" It's our principal, Mr. Trae. I nodded and I walked towards him and we walked together. "Ms. Smith, you are quite the charmer, huh?"

"Pardon?" What is he talking about?

"I can't believe you made my niece fall in love with you."

"Oh! So, you are her uncle?"

"Yes, I am. You can also call me Uncle, since soon we will be a family. Thank you for trying Alexa. "

"Nah, it's nothing, uncle, because I'm willing to try and fall in love with your niece." He nodded and he opened the door for me and he walked away. I was confused because he left me here, so why the hell am I here Suddenly, someone back hugged me.

"Why didn't you answer my call?" Oh! It's Avery.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you and I didn't answer my phone if it was from unknown. " She pulled away and I looked at her. She was now pouting. "I'm going to save your number. Don't worry. Stop pouting now, kitten. " I patted her head and she hugged me. She buried her head in my chest and sniffed me.

"I miss you, Allie," she muttered.

(Allie is a nickname for Alexa)

"We just saw each other earlier."

"I always miss you even if I don't see you."

"Can I ask you why are you here?"

"To have lunch with you and because you didn't answer my phone."

"I still have class"

"Ditch it"

"You know I can't"

"Don't worry, you are with the owner's daughter."

"You know it's nepotism."

"No it is not."

"Yes it is because you are using your power to make me ditch my class without worrying."

"But Allie, I want to be with you," She said in a baby voice while pouting. I pinched her cheeks.

"You are so cute!" I keep squeezing her cheeks. "I want to be with you also, but I still have class. You can just eat with Blair unnie."

"Bu-" I cut her off.

"No buts. You know I need to graduate and find a job so we can get married." She looked convinced

"Yeah you are right. I am sorry Allie," She pouts.

"It's fine, Avery. Okay, eat your lunch. I'm going to ask Blair unnie if you eat your lunch." She nodded. I patted her head. "I have to go now, Avery."

"Can you hug me first?" Actually, every time she hugged me, I didn't hug her back. Therefore I hugged her.

"You okay now?" She buried her face in my neck and sniffed it. I pulled away.

"Thank you Allie!" She kissed my cheeks and smiled sweetly. "Go back to your class now. Bye! bye! "

"Okay, be careful on your way. Bye!" I waved my hands and she waved back. I got into my room and sat in my seat.

"What happened?" Sam asked

"Their daughter happened," She nodded, continuing to scribble notes.

Chelsea's POV

I can't believe that Avery knows to fall in love. I'm 101% sure that she really loves Alexa because of the way she stares at her and she is a different person when she is with Alexa.

"Avery, where did you go?" I asked her because I had been here in her office when she suddenly left the building.

"I went to the university." She sat in her chair and signed the papers.

"You went to Alexa?" She nodded.

"s**t!!" Suddenly, she cursed.

"Why? What happened?"

"I need to eat lunch or else Allie might be mad at me."

This demon here is listening to an angel,

"Madie, buy me some lunch".

"Okay, Ms. Halston" Madie went outside.

"You are really listening to Alexa, huh?" I teased her.

"Of course, she is my Allie, that's why," She answered honestly.

"Whipped!" I teased her

"I'm not!" She defended

"Really??"

"Yes, I am not whipped"

"Yeah yeah, lie to yourself. What Alexa hates the most is liars, people who lie." She sighed in defeat, it looks like I won.

"Fine! I am whipped" She glared at me.

"What? I'm just telling the truth about Alexa. You know, I really know her likes and dislikes. I can even give you some tips so you can make Alexa yours." Her ears perk up.

"Really??" She asked shyly.

Look at this demon. She knows how to be shy.

"Yeah, but you keep being rude to me and you always give me your attitude, so forget about it." She looked down. I knew she really wanted me to spill some information about Alexa.

"Fine, I'll be good to you. Just tell me about Alexa. " She looked at me desperately.

"I'm going to tell you if you sign the contract that I'm going to make."

"Okay, just give it to me already so I can read and sign it."

"Hurry!" She exclaims, her voice irritated.

"Are you annoyed at me now?" I asked her I'm going to try this demon here. hehe It's fun making fun of her. "Even if you ask something of her friends, I know for sure that they only have a little information, but me, I know a lot since we have known each other for so long."

"Just give me the contract"

"Nope, I changed my mind since you gave me an attitude earlier."

"Unnie, just give me the contract." Wow, she really wants it. She called me Unnie again.

"Nope, not a chance. I can't trust you, you might just breach the contract. I have to go. I still have a meeting. "

"Unniee!! Please just pick this one!! I promise Im going to be kind to you." It was my first time seeing her plead.

Nothing is free and easy Avery, so endure it.

Since you get Alexa easily, I might make this harder.

"Nope, I don't want to. Bye!" I heard her say somwthing it was fun, hahahaha The demon finds her weakness and so the demon finds her.

Avery's POV

I really want to know more about Lexa, but this cousin of mine can help me, but she doesn't want to. I think I should ask my private investigator. Yeah, I think I should

"Madie, ask Simon to come here."

"All right, Ms. Halston, I'll call him."

I keep waiting for Simon to arrive here in my office. Suddenly, the door opened and it was Simon.

"Why are you asking for my prescence?" Simon asked me.

"I want you to investigate Alexandra Smith."

"Can I ask your relationship with her?"

"Future wife" It makes me feel happy calling her that.

"Okay, I'm going to report if I get some information." He bid a goodbye and my lunch arrived. I took a photo of it first and sent it to Allie, and I ate it.

AV: "Hello, Allie I already ate my lunch just like you told me to."

AL"Good job Avery. Don't stress yourself at work, okay? Take care of yourself." She really makes my heart flutter.

AV: "Don't stress yourself too much too. I miss you."

AL: "We just saw each other earlier. I think about 2 and a half hours ago."

AV: "But I really want to be with you. I want to see you."

AL: "I'm going to send you a photo of me. I have to go now. Bye bye!"

WAHHH!!!! She is absolutely adorable!!!! I want to see her! I want to hug and kiss her. Calm yourself Avery, you need to work and she needs to study.

I quickly saved her photo and I made it my lockscreen and homescreen. I got back to work but I keep seeing my phone wallpaper because she is so cute and I can't help but to look at her photo.

"Ms. Halston, you have an important meeting with Mr. Weaver again."

"Weaver?"

"With a son named Kade"

"Cancel it"

"But he keeps pushing to have a meeting with you."

"When? Where?"

"7PM at Leone's Hotel and Resturants"

"Cancel it. Tell him I don't have time for dinner and if he still pushes it, tell him I'm going to rip the partnership contract in front of him. "

"Got it, Ms. Halston. You only have to finish those papers and you are free. "

"Okay, you can leave now." She left.

That Weaver really stresses me out. Who the hell do they think they are? If not because of us, their business will go down. Every f*****g business here always depends on my company.

I need my Allie. She is my stress reliever. Allie I miss you already. I want to see you now.
