- 12 - Ilene sighed as she got back in the new rental car. With her stomach full of roast beef and baked potato, and new clothes that were at least clean and whole, if not exactly her usual style, she had to confront the more difficult issues of where they were going and what they’d do when they got there. “I still think we need to do more research on this foundation before we go blundering around it,” she said. “Research how?” Michael asked as he started the car. “What can anyone else tell us about it that Sheridan wouldn’t know?” “Better to ask: What can someone tell us that Sheridan wouldn’t or didn’t?” “You trusted him enough to ask him about it,” Michael pointed out. “And I trust him to tell me the truth. Just not necessarily the whole truth.” Michael looked both way
