25 March 31, 2019 Taos, New Mexico Beecher tried to lift his right arm but it wouldn’t obey him. His left was just as useless. In fact his whole body was numb. His head was woozy and when he opened his eyes, the piñon pines danced until he felt sick and had to close them. After breathing deeply for several seconds, he opened his eyes again and the trees settled down once more on the earth. His head began to clear and he felt a coarse tingling in his arms and legs.
