Pieter Haas drummed the fingernails of his left hand on the dash of the SUV. His right hand cradled his phone against his ear. The early afternoon sun blazed overhead and the car’s air conditioning unit was at maximum. Still, he could feel the sweat from his armpits trickle down his ribs. He was anxious over his latest decision. He had gone to great lengths to try and salvage what he could of the debacle of finding Adam. Deciding to act boldly, he had kidnapped Jonathan Ramsey.
