Chapter Sixteen A Break from the Abbey As my parents drove me away from the Mission, I watched the large bronze bells on the campanile recede in the distance. When we got home I took two more aspirin, folded up my nun’s clothes in the closet and changed into my old comfy bathrobe. My Mom cooked a nice meal for us. After dinner, Mom, Dad and I went into the living room and watched “The Wizard of OZ”. It had been my Mom’s favorite book and movie as a child and I had even been named after the main character. I knew they were just trying to make me feel better by having us watch it, but I wasn’t in the mood.
