Roldan froze on the spot, his eyes bulging so wide they looked ready to pop out of his head as he stared at me like he'd just seen a ghost.
He snapped his head to the side and hissed at Abby in a sharp, urgent whisper, "Did you mess with the oxygen tank like we planned?"
Abby's voice trembled as she ducked her head and mumbled back, "I checked it myself, it's definitely done. I broke the valve right then and there. There's no way she could've come back alive!"
