Following Nara, they both continued journeying through forests and cities.

"Wow! This shadow ability is really useful" Will was in an awe as he could see all houses above them.

With Nara's shadow ability, they were traveling below the earth. Will did some calculations and discovered that they were moving at the rate of 20 metres per second.

Such speed!

It seems like he still hasn't grab the real extent of this world.

Some minutes later, they finally got to there destination.

It was a tall black building, surrounded by multiple strong mages.

"Hmm, I can't even sense their cultivation" Will murmured.

"Of course you can't, the weakest one amongst them is at the peak secondary realm." Nara revealed to him.

They walked in the building and immediately Will was stunned by the interior of the building. Surrounded by colourful and luminous crystals.

Looking around, he was surprised that all he saw was a middle aged woman sitting behind the counter.

"Hi Rose" Nara walked forward and greeted her.

Seeing the two women discussing, totally forgotten about him. He walked around the hall while admiring the ancient artifacts in it.

Eh!

Suddenly, his attention was grabbed by a red crystal at a corner.

What really surprised him was not the crystal, but his ring.

All he knew about this ring was that it followed him from his former world, cause he always had the feeling of when he was around the golden cube.

But at this moment, this ring which seems to have been in slumber was actually pulsating.

Curious, he walked towards the crystal that could make the ring glow.

On getting closer, he discovered that the crystal was deep red with ominous glow surrounding it.

"Careful there, that crystal was extracted from a demon servant"

He heard a voice behind him, and turning back he met a young man wearing a black robe.

"Hmm, what do you mean by demon servant?"

The man chuckled and replied, "It seems like you're not from around here. As you can see, this is the shadow dragon organization. If I may ask, what is our objective?"

Will thought back to the memories he had of this organization, "Well, you guys are the protectors of earth. You fight monsters and protect the citizens" he replied while scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

The black robed man chuckled and dissolved into shadow. Only his voice lingered around, "You wanna know more boy, join us".

"Well I was going to join you if you had allowed to finish" Will murmured as he walked towards Nara.

It seems that she had finished chatting with the middle aged woman.

She was now holding a yellow badge and a yellow robe with her.

After passing Will the yellow robe, he followed her into one of the rooms.

"Aren't I suppose to have an assessment before being hired?" He asked confusedly.

Nara smiled and led him into one of the rooms, "Let's just say it's because of my master, he was gave me his badge if I ever had to do anything".

Will eyebrows were tight from confusion, "Who is your master? Is it that black robed man?"

"You can't know my master yet, it will bring you more harm than good. Just know that she was someone who rescued me from the hands of those filthy demons, otherwise I'm afraid I would have become their plaything".

Her eyes were burning with hatred as she replied through gritted teeth.

Meanwhile Will almost had a breakdown, "What are demons? This is the second time I would be hearing about them".

"Get stronger Will, all answers will come to you naturally" she replied to him with a smile.

"That's unfair! The black robed man said my questions will be answered when I joined". Will raised his tone in fraustration.

As if a bomb was dropped on her, she suddenly went frozen when she heard Will mentioning the black robed man.

"You met a black robed elder" Nara asked with her piercing gaze.

"Hm"

"When?"

"Two minutes ago"

Nara breath in a cold air. She looked at Will with her starry eyes and said in a solemn voice, "It seems like you've come at a tight season".

"Why"

"You ask too much questions, all you need know is that with strength your mysteries will be enlightened to you" she said honestly before continuing, "Take off your clothes"

"What! Here? Right now? I didn't know you were such a......"

"Cut the crap and take off your clothes" she cut him off impatiently.

After removing his clothes Nara pushed him into the black pool at the center of the water.

"Splash!"

"Hey! You could have given me a warni.....haaaaaaa! It hurts! Ahhhhhhhh!"

He shouted when he was caught off guard. The pain was like anything he has ever experienced, after sometime, he finally got used to the pain.

Standing at the middle of the pool, he's eyes were closed tightly as his mind had entered into his globe.

The inner world in his globe was now divided into two parts, one was flickering with lightning while the other was surrounded by a purple shadow.

"You have been given the shadow ability, that marks your Identity as one of us now"

After opening his eyes he heard a sweet voice behind him.

"Why didn't you tell me the process would hurt?" He asked coldly.

Sitting with her hands rested behind her she snorted inwardly and gave Will and innocent smile, "Isn't it normal that I can forget somethings. Besides we are all human being".

"Aishhh! Forget it, I have no strength to argue with you". Will gritted his teeth as he came out of the pool and wore his clothes.

"Hmmm, what is this?"

Just as he was about to wear his clothes, he noticed a black shadow tattoo on his abdomen.

Curious, Nara walked over and check it.

"It's a seal. If you ever dare to expose our secret to anybody it will explode in you, resulting to instant death." Nara said seriously.

Will's eyes also lit up with understanding. It seems he had figured out the reason why the black robed man didn't tell him anything else important but to join.

"Okay now that all the steps had been completed, you have to cultivate your shadow ability diligently. It's almost morning now, meet me tomorrow. I will get a mission ready for us"

With this being said she helped Will back to their settlement and she also went her different way.

Sitting on the uncomfortable bed in his room, Will closed his eyes as he began his cultivation.

Currently, the energy in his globe was circulating and increasing rapidly.

"Looks like I'm close to another breakthrough" he murmured as his concentration increased. He could feel his lightning element getting stronger as time went by.

Boom

A new wave of energy surged out of his globe with circulate around his body.

The feeling was soothing and calming. Breathing in and out, he could see bright particles entering his nostrils and dark particles escaping after.

"Hmmm, each of my breath seems to suck in purified mana while my body is excreting the waste through breathing.

Wuuuu

Suddenly all mana around him was drawn and absorbed by him in a blink. Closing his eyes, he focused on his gate of energy and discovered dense manner flowing into his lightning element space.

Entering into his lightning element space, the mana fused with his globe energy and flickers began to surround him.

He extinguished it after achieving his purpose.

"My lightning energy has increased. Let's move on to the shadow element now."

Sitting in a meditative position he began circulating the energy in his shadow element space.

He didn't know for how long but when he opened his eyes he could feel his shadow element on the same level with his lightning element.

Shadow merge

His body glowed with a purple glint and he merged with the shadow in his room.

"Both elements at the peak primary realm. I'm only a step from the secondary realm"
