The morning started with an unexpected message… one that sent my heart racing with both anxiety and anticipation.
"Get ready. You’re leaving for a test."
I stared at the officer who delivered the message, my pulse quickening. “What test?”
She gave me a blank look, then shrugged. “Don’t know. Orders are orders. You can either get ready now or go in whatever state you’re in when the car arrives. Your choice.”
