Mrs. Evans looked around, practically glowing with excitement. Her grin stretched from ear to ear as she took in the grandeur of the hall. Never had she imagined she’d find herself among such luxury, especially after what happened with Lily's great-grandfather. Just then, Amanda’s gaze fell upon them from across the room. “Impossible,” Amanda muttered under her breath. She exchanged a quick glance with Great-Grandfather, who looked equally surprised. Amanda thought of something and her sneer widened as she saw an opportunity to create a scene. Without wasting any minutes, she picked up a glass of red wine from a passing waiter’s tray and strode over to Lily. She came to a stop right in front of Lily and tilted the glass, letting the red liquid spill directly onto Lily’s face.
