Lily wiped away the tears that clouded her vision as she ran down the street. She hardly noticed that her heels were digging uncomfortably into her feet.
All she wanted at that moment was to leave the Sterling group premises. She wanted to be away from her extended family who despised her so much.
Ethan was yelling her name behind her, and she could hear his footsteps getting faster as he struggled to keep up.
