38 Tynaer watched the city. His black cloak fluttered in the wind. The city was calm and quiet. He liked it that way. Still, he was ready for anything. His hand rested on the hilt of his sword. He kept his eyes alert. The last time he’d slipped in his duties, Paedyn had nearly paid for it with his life. Tynaer didn’t plan to let that happen again.
