Carmen walked out, her hand entangled with her brother’s. She sent a smile towards Ronald who was waiting for her in the car.
Immediately, he halted out the car and walked towards them as she was locking the front door.
“Hey Carmen.”
He called out sweetly as he leaned in to hug Cody. The young boy hugged him back with a grin on his face. He liked both brothers that day. He didn’t know them but they were sweet and they were with his sister to bring him back home. That was enough for him to know that they were good guys.
He kept on holding Ronald’s hand to both of the adults’ surprise. Carmen frowned a bit but hid it with a smile. She was interested that he liked him that quickly since it was weird for her brother to like someone after the trauma that had happened to them.
