The first week of Elena Carter’s new job passed faster than she expected.
Every morning, she arrived before sunrise. Every room she cleaned reflected the care and pride she took in her work. She greeted guests with a warm smile and never complained, even after working long hours.
Before long, everyone at the Grand Imperial Hotel knew her name.
“Elena is the hardest worker we’ve hired in years,” one supervisor remarked.
“And the kindest,” another added.
Her reputation quickly reached Adrian Smith.
One afternoon, Adrian visited the hotel to review its monthly performance.
As he walked through the corridors with Daniel, he noticed something unusual.
An elderly guest had accidentally dropped several shopping bags.
Before any employee could react, Elena rushed over.
“Please let me help you.”
The elderly woman smiled gratefully.
“Thank you, dear.”
Elena carried the bags all the way to the woman’s suite without expecting a reward.
Adrian watched the entire scene.
Daniel noticed his expression.
“She’s becoming popular with both guests and staff.”
Adrian nodded.
“Kindness can’t be taught.”
“No, sir.”
“It comes from the heart.”
Later that afternoon, Adrian requested a meeting with the hotel manager.
“How is Elena performing?”
The manager smiled.
“Honestly, Mr. Smith, she’s one of our best employees.”
“No complaints?”
“None.”
“She often stays after her shift to help others without being asked.”
Adrian remained silent for a moment.
Then he made a decision.
“I want to meet her.”
