Chapter 11I got up bright and early Thursday morning. After a fast shower, I dressed for the day in jeans and a sweatshirt in deference to the late September weather. I made coffee because I needed the boost and filled all Laird’s bowls. When he finished eating I spent a few minutes with him, letting him know he was loved, before putting on my leather jacket and leaving. I did a thorough check of my bike, on the slim chance my nemesis might have decided to f**k with it. As far as I could tell he hadn’t, so I put on my helmet and took off to town.
