19 Saxon The market is quiet today. There are not as many people bustling around. The grey clouds overhead could be the reason. The days are getting longer and that means the rainy season will soon be upon us. I think about Kerina and her self-defence moves. Not only did she make no mistakes, she packed some power behind her punches that would put Elgee to shame. I stop at my friend’s stall. ‘Elgee, where is everyone?’ He shakes his head and lowers his voice. ‘Ain’t yer heard? The Agents been takin’ people away for questions.’ My thoughts go immediately to Rudolph. ‘For what?’ ‘No one really knows, ‘cause they don’t give no reason. The Agents just been marchin’ people in for questioning.’
