I couldn't believe she had said yes. I stared in disbelief as her things were brought into the house and unpacked. However, my feisty mate had a victorious look on her face. "I've been known to max out credit cards." With that she sauntered away. If only she knew the fortune I had amassed through out my life time so far. It was very, very rare for an immortal to be poor over the age of one hundred. She was only thirty six years old. Just barely starting out her life, whereas I'm three hundred. I was still considered young compared to most males in my family. I was the youngest. Well, youngest male. My mother had just given birth to a girl in May. I came out of my daze to see my little vampire's questioning gaze once more. "You ok?" "Yea. Just thinking about Pixie." She smiled at my sisters name. "How is she?" "Just turned three months old today." "She's so cute. We should visit sometime." She walked into the kitchen as they were unpacking all her pots and pans she'd ordered. "You cook?" I already knew the answer to that. "Duh. I was raised in a very traditional southern home where us womenfolk know how to cook." I laughed. That was true. Her mother had raised her to be the perfect house wife. She had taken it very well when I claimed her daughter. It still shocked me how a human couple had raised her so well and even taught her how to feed. I still wondered how they did that. "Vampire movies." "I said that out loud?" She once again raised her brow at me. "Uh yea. You looked right at me and asked." "Oh." I blushed and turned away. She laughed and directed the movers on where to put her stuff. "I love this kitchen." I smiled. I had this house renovated over time to suit her needs. "I'm glad you like it." I began having a hard time focusing due to her very curvaceous form. Gods this girl had filled out. Her breast were large, a 32 DDD to be precise. Her ass was round and high and her waist flared to shapely hips. Her face? Perfection. She looked like she belonged on runway. I sighed. "Really?" She giggled, making her way through the other rooms as I followed. "Yes." She refused to admit it but she loved this house, unaware it had been custom made for her. It wasn't a mansion, but it was large. "I must say I'm impressed. Almost like this house was made for me." I could tell she was joking but I decided to let it slip. "Busted." "Yea right." "No. Seriously." She did a double take at that one. "I've had this house worked on over the years as your likes and needs have changed. This is the finished product unless something is not to your liking. Even if you don't agree to be my mate, this is your house." "Thorn, I. I don't know what to say." Her expression suddenly changed back to that stubborn girl who guarded herself. "I want a dog. Three dogs actually." "A Chow Chow, Pitt Bull, and Doberman Pincher? Oh and a Rottweiler. So you have four in total. All potty trained." She held back her shocked expression. "Names?" "The Doberman is Kitty, the Chow Chow which is solid black is Ender, the Pitt Bull is Zorrow, and the Rottweilers name is Dragon. All of them are three months old and ready fo proper training." The look on her face was one pure shock. Not only had I gotten her favorite breeds, but I also named exactly what she would have. "I want to see them." "Right this way." I led her through the house to the special out door room I had had made for them. She gasped when she saw them in their play room all playing together, biting and puling each others ears and tails. It was cute I'll admit, but not as cute as the face she was making right now. "Thorn I. Did my mother tell you?" "No. I've been with you your whole life almost. I think I would what you like by now." I opened the door and called for them. They came stumbling in, all jumping up for Cyrunia's attention. I watched as she sat on the floor with them, Letting them cling to her. In this moment she was so happy. It made all this time, and all the attitude I would have to deal with worth it. She was worth it. I smiled and left to give her sometime to get adjusted. I went to my office and started working on some documents that I needed to finish. About an hour later I got a knock on the glass door. I look up and motioned for my mate to enter. "It's nice in here. Very clean and organized." "Yea, well I like a clean work space. Helps me think better." She nodded and sat in my lap. "Whatcha working on?" "I'm working on an add for a new product were launching in December." She took a look at my screen and shook her head. "This won't work. It a really nice appliance but you need to market it differently. First thing, advertise it is an updated modern style kitchen that will bring out the shine. Next put average looking people in the commercial. If you have good looking people it's not believable. And family. Get the people right in the heart. Make them cry and want the oven." "Nice." "Why do you think the ASPCA commercials are so successful? They make you feel bad and you either adopt a pet or donate." I laughed. "Very good. Now." I popped her bottom, making her get up. "Daddy's busy, go play." To my surprise she pouted and left. I smiled and shook my head. I made some revisions to the add, then closed the laptop. When I found her, she was in the kitchen cooking and humming along to some music. A mix of metal, country, and various random artists. "What are you cooking?" "Some good, old fashioned, southern comfort. Mashed potatoes, green beans, Mac and cheese, and last but not least. Fried chicken." "Well it smells heavenly." She smiled, continuing to cook while the puppies dozed around her feet. After dinner I cleaned and let her get settled. When I was done I made my way the master bedroom only to find my bed over taken but tiny fur balls. "I'm not making them sleep on the floor. They sleep in the bed with me." I put my hands up in a show of peace. I absolutely did not want the dogs in the bed, but she wasn't going to take no for an answer on this. Compromise I suppose. I crawled in bed with the five of them and rolled with my back facing them. When turned out the light something unbelievable happened. She cuddled me. Not the bed full of puppies, but me. It made my heart swell with pride. I rolled to face her and pulled her close. I wasn't going to say s**t and ruin this moment. Not when this much progress had been made. I just hope tomorrow she was in a better mood. I don't know how much longer I could go with her current attitude.
