Chapter Fourteen

1823 Words
"I refuse to be captured in here the whole evening," Niall says standing up with a little stumble. We have been drinking for an hour and neither of us is in our right minds. "I agree. Let's go out, and have some fun." I stand up putting my glass in the air celebrating this reckless ides that we certainly are going to regret sooner or later. "I got just the place, mate." Niall rushes to the door not even bothering putting extra clothes on, even though it is very chilly at night. I follow suit and we both stubble down the street. The alcohol has turned our volume up. Talking turns to screaming, and singing turns to battle music as we lean on each other for support, and wake every sleeping soul on our way. We soon start to approach a shutdown bar. I should be feeling nervous now, but all of those emotions were thrown away a few drinks ago. "Where in the world are you taking me?" I ask Niall, slurring almost every sentence. "This was shut down years ago, and some lads broke in, and rebuild it into a boxing ring and such." Still, a bit confused I throw my head in his direction, raising one brow in confusion. "We're going to fight!" Niall screams in excitement. I let out a loud cheer as well feeling adrenalin rush through my body at the thought. We push open the door to be met by a big crowd. The only place there was a little space was in the middle where two guys are in the middle of a fight. Money is thrown in the air, because of all the betting going on. We push past the ground and walk up to the front to get a closer look. At the end of the fight, the biggest guy obviously won, and everyone handed those who betted on him money. The two guys walked off, and after that two girls stepped on. The guys all cheered in excitement to see two girls in only a corset, and underwear fight. Niall disappears a few seconds later to go get us some more beer. The girls keep on fighting, making the other bruise, and bleed. Every guy in the room has his fist in the air cheering for the one they think will win, and fight the next round. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that guys fight, and then girls, and then guys, and so on. Niall returns with the beers, and the ladies are quickly done fighting. The guy who previously won steps up, but no one else. "Come on! Who wants to fight?" He screams out while flexing his muscles. "I do," I scream back feeling all lack of judgment disappear in that single moment. "Are you crazy? He is like ten times your since!" Niall warns me, but I just brush him off and hand him my beer before walking up to the guy. He chuckles at me, but I honestly don't care. The pain he will cause me is still less then what I was feeling before. A bell rings, and before I can react I get punched in the face, making me stumble backward. My eyes widen in shock, but I shake my head getting back into focus. He holds his fists up and tries to circle me. He tries to punch me in the face again, but I duck and send my fist right into his stomach instead of shocking everyone that I even got one punch into the fight. Mira's perspective "Where are we going?" I ask Luna as she drags me by my hand. "You are getting married soon, so you need to have a little fun!" She jumps in excitement dragging me towards a closed down bar. "What fun is there in a closed bar?" I ask confused but quickly shut my mouth as she pushes the doors open. A roar of cheers fills my ears coming from the huge crowd in front of me entranced by the fight occurring before them. "Are we here to fight?" "No silly, we are here to watch the fight." She pushes past the people effortlessly and drags me to the front. You can hear punches and kicks being given and received. I look to my right to see a tall blond guy. "Hello!" I scream to him catching his attention. His blue eyes meet mine, and a smile forms on his lips. "I'm Niall!" He screams back over the crowd. "I'm Mira! Nice to meet you!" I reach out my hand, and he gladly accepts, but his face is filled with shock. If I weren't standing this close I would have never heard his quiet words of "Oh no." I look away confused not really in the mood to ask. One of the guys fighting gets thrown to the ground at my feet, and for the first time, I allow myself to see who these idiots that are fighting are. My eyes are met by an all to familiar pair of green. My eyes widen in shock at his face and body. Blood and bruises are everywhere, and even some parts are swollen. His eyes widen as well when he finally notice me. He is pulled up of the ground by the other man, and I watch in horror as he punches Harry repeatedly in the face before letting him go signaling that the fight is now over. I rush over to Harry now laying on the ground again twisting in pain. "Harry!" I scream shaking him, trying to gain his attention. His tired eyes move to mine. "What were you thinking? Why would you be so idiotic to think you could win over him?" I ask desperately trying to figure out what in the world made him think this was a good idea. "Why do you care?" He says sitting up a bit. Everyone was too distracted about getting their money to pay attention to us. "Are you serious? Do you know how much it hurts me seeing you get beaten like this?" I help him to his feet. He lets out a few grunts, but after a few tries he gets up, and the guy I introduced myself too earlier comes over to help Harry. "I don't care how you felt seeing me like that." Harry slurs, and it is clear as day that he is drunk. Even though he is drunk his words still hurts. Niall drags him back over to the first row, so we can get out of the way for the girls who are about to fight. However, only one girl is up there screaming for someone to fight against. I look over at the girl, and how she is dressed. It doesn't take much for me to understand that if you're going to fight that you have to dress like that. I get an idea, but all my nerves get in the way. So I take Niall's beer, chug it down, and look at Harry. "Well then, let's see how you like seeing me fight," I say as I back up into the ring, and up to the girl. "The dress has to go, sweetheart." She says pointing to my dress. Some of the alcohol kicks in. I turn to look at Harry. "Don't you dare!" He screams at me, but my stubbornness will always win in a decision. So in one swift movement, I pull off my dress while I send Harry a look saying that he doesn't decide what I do. A few whistles and cheers get sent my way as soon as the dress is off. We both raise our fists getting ready to fight and defend. I stare her in the eyes using the only thing Harry thought me. I can see that she gets a bit freaked out by my staring so I take the opportunity to punch her in the face, making it whip to the side. I jump a bit in surprise that I did it. She quickly recovers and punches me twice in the stomach making me hunch over in pain. She takes the opportunity to punch my chin sending me back into the ground. I can taste the blood in my mouth, the iron taste. I roll over to my stomach seeing Harry standing there, eyes filled with worry. My intention was to make him feel like I did, and I accomplished that. However, now I can't back down until the fight is over. I think Harry saw the defeat in my eyes, seeing as he rushed over yelling that the fight has come to an end. He very hurt himself, but still manage to lift me up, and drag me outside. He doesn't say anything to me like I hoped he would. He just throws me over his shoulder, and walk me home. "I can't leave, Luna." I spit out feeling the blood filled my mouth. "She left seconds after you arrived," Harry says, and honestly I don't care as long as she is safe. "You are aware that you can't do something like that again just to prove a point, right?" Harry asks with an angry yet calm voice. I know this won't be last time I will go a great length to prove a point, but I know that is not what he needs to hear at the moment so I just agree. "But you did feel as terrible as I did, I saw it," I whisper to him feeling all energy in my body being drained for every step he takes. "Just because I didn't want to see your dead doesn't mean I care, Mira. Besides if it weren't for you I wouldn't be there in the first place. You can't just leave, and expect me to be faithful, and do what you tell me to do. That is not how it works." I turn quiet not really knowing what to reply to him. I am hurt by his words, but I won't let him know that. If I let him know he has the power to hurt me he will just be satisfied with himself. I can see my front door coming closer, and seconds later he puts me down. "I think it's better if we just stay away from each other for a while." He says, and he pretends like it doesn't affect him, but I can hear the hurt in his voice. I know this isn't something he wants, but it's something he needs in order to get over me, and I am not in a position to reject that. "I agree," I tell him before backing up to my door. "Goodbye," I say as I open my door slowly. He doesn't reply, all he does is turn around and walk away. I sigh before making my way inside and shut the door.
