chapter 4: training part 2

621 Words
After hearing that they both wanted to become agents, S.S. decided to train them. He enrolled them in a training academy along with his own kids. Rabindra Sinha, Shusheela Sinha, Inder Quandra, and Priya Quandra became like siblings during their training. Rabindra was a knife expert but had a somewhat rude demeanor. Shusheela was proficient in more than 80 languages and harbored feelings for Inder beyond friendship. Inder possessed intelligence, strategic thinking, and combat skills like his father. Priya was an avid reader, well-versed in various subjects. S.S. arranged admission for the four of them, and they began their training to become skilled agents. Ten years later… "Okay, guys, as you have passed the written exam, now you will go to the agents' headquarters for the physical exams," said the master of the training camp. "Hey, Inder, where are you going?" "Hmm… I am going to the agents' headquarters." "But… there is a bus here." "I know that." "Then why are you going by foot?" "Because at any moment, they will announce that the bus to the agents' headquarters is at gate 6." "But… the bus should be at the bus stop, right?" "Don’t you trust me, Rabindra?" "I do, but… okay, let's go to gate 6." Rabindra and Inder went to gate 6, and then the announcement came: "Please listen carefully, bus number 8, which is going to the agents' headquarters, will arrive at gate 6 due to some problem. Please cooperate. Thank you for your cooperation." "Oh!… You were right, Inder." "Hey, Priya, look… both of them are there." "What? They already knew that the bus would come to gate 6." "I think Inder already knew that." The four of them boarded the bus and reached the agents' headquarters. "The headquarters is massive." "Right." They went inside and were directed by a hurried agent to a client room. After the agent left, an hour passed, but no one came to them. "Why isn't anyone coming?" "Something is wrong… if I'm right, then 1… 2… 3…" An emergency alarm sounded, and the announcement came: "This is not a drill, the Metaphors are coming towards us, rumbling, and this is not a drill." Panic spread in the room. Meanwhile, in the high command: "Sir, team 5 is wiped out, we can't stop them." "Send teams 7, 8, and 9 to stop the Metaphors." "Sir, I think we should send the candidates back… we can't conduct the physical examination now." "No, we can't send them back… we need agents to kill the Metaphors." "But, they haven't fought a Metaphor before." "We can't ignore the fact that teams 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 were wiped out." "But…" "I will talk to them." The head entered the room and saw how panicked the candidates were and shouted, "Attention!" "We need your help. Metaphors are rumbling towards us, and our skilled team has been wiped out." "Wait, we? We were here for an exam… not for fighting with Metaphors." "Exam… hmm… your exam starts now. Stop the Metaphors. This is not an exam to become an agent; it is a test of life. If you lose, you die. If you win, you will be the best agent… Who wants to stay, can stay. The rest, please leave and better luck next time." There were 1,236 candidates, and now only 1,006 remained. "Thanks for staying… here are your equipments… candidates, the exam starts now." Inder also decided to fight the Metaphors, and seeing his determination, his squad agreed. They joined the other candidates on the wall and witnessed the Metaphors approaching. Inder spoke to himself, saying, "I will destroy them." But little did he know what fate had in store for him.
