Chapter 12: War Part 4
As I.Q. learned that the first wave of European troops had entered, he hurried to the palace and stopped the vehicle, approaching the king.
"What happened, AGENT I.Q.?" asked Joseph Chen, the king of the Land of Asia.
"Nothing, sir... just a routine check," replied I.Q.
He then permitted the vehicle to enter the palace. Lost in thought, he arrived at the headquarters, where a child approached him.
"Hey, uncle, someone told me to give this to you," said the kid innocently.
As he accepted it, he opened the box and found a pressure grenade—a weapon made by North Americans in the year 0056. I.Q. picked it up and held it tightly, shouting, "Grenade, move!"
Realizing the danger, everyone scrambled away from the control panel. A deafening explosion rocked the palace, and a message followed.
"I.Q., what are you doing? The troops have reached the palace; we need backup!" yelled AGENT E.Y.
As everyone stared at the wreckage, I.Q. pondered why the grenade hadn't detonated when it was in the child's hand. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that it was a dummy. He tossed the dummy grenade aside and raced to the control panel.
"Backup Team 3, head to the palace urgently!" he ordered.
"Backup team incoming. Just fight; don't lose hope," I.Q. reassured E.Y.
Meanwhile, chaos reigned in the palace as flames engulfed everything. Agents rushed to protect the king, barricading themselves in the room of the queen and king, who had passed away thirteen years ago due to influenza.
Filled with anger and acting on their independent orders, I.Q. commanded, "Troop 1, destroy them!"
Troop 1 embarked on their mission to the Land of Europe. Meanwhile, most of the supreme European agents anticipated an attack from the world government and positioned themselves accordingly.
