“Are you ready?” Marissa asked me about half an hour later. She stood up, stretching her limbs out before turning to me with her picture perfect smile. Her hair was still curled to perfection and her clothes weren’t wrinkled in the slightest. I glanced down at my clothes and noticed a few wrinkles in my shirt but other than that, I was okay. At least my outfit was, I wasn’t very careful to not mess up my hair and I was stuffing the chicken into my mouth like a wild woman, so my makeup probably isn’t intact.
