I'd been through the experience of witnessing someone with a bright future fight a demon of that kind in their lives, and the person I loved most in the world had been defeated in that fight. Jessica was a wonderful young woman who had a lot to offer the rest of the world. She was going to have a successful future. I wasn't attempting to give anyone advice on how they should conduct their lives, but I couldn't just sit here and watch her squander hers. So, I ended it.
