Chapter 8

"That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever been exposed to." I made an effort to get away from him, but Harry grabbed my hand and drew me closer to him. He tasted like spearmint and hunger as he kissed me while holding my hair. I decided to close my eyes and give in to the kiss, despite the fact that I was really terrified. I was aware that this would never work out in the long run, and that it had the potential to produce a wedge in what was left of my family. I gave him permission to brush his tongue against mine, and I could feel my n*****s pressing forward as though they were trying to reach out to him. I backed away, gasping for air, and clamped my eyes shut as I tried to compose myself. "This is beyond our capabilities." Even though my heart was pounding under my blouse, I made sure to remind him. Why shouldn't it? He questioned as he pressed his finger to my lips while I felt the pain of my broken heart all over again. You're a part of my family. I said something under my breath as he took a deep breath, "They're my family, and I can't hurt them this way." "We're old enough to give our approval. Shauna, we have been since the beginning. Didn't your mom talk about us ending up together when we were older like mine did?" I became helpless and collapsed against his chest, pressing my head against it. Minda did it too. "That is completely without significance. They didn't start talking about us becoming intimate until we'd both had enough of each other. As he worked his way through my mane, I shut my eyes. It's possible that it's more than that. We need to see it through to the end." As a feeble laugh escaped my lips, Harry told me. "Have you ever been in a relationship with a woman? Is this something you could do?" I inquired of him as his response lacked volume. "Please don't think of me as a one-night stand... No longer, however. Harry, that was the one and only time when we both required your help. As we continued to look at each other, his hands slowly moved away from mine. As he retreated and then turned to leave, Harry's expression remained one of torment. As I watched, a searing ache tore through me in response to the seemingly pointless fantasy that both of our mothers appeared to have. They had no idea that little Harry would grow up to be a player, and they would never want that for me. They also had no idea that little Harry would grow up to be a player. That is not something I would like for myself. After the car collision, I began to turn in the direction of some rocks, a location that came to my mind at the time. Both at this point. I wriggled my way onto the rounded one, crossed my legs, and focused my attention on the lake beyond. The kiss had left a tingling sensation on my lips, and I knew I would never be able to snuff out the fire that was starting in my body. If it were me, I'd just get another one, but one that was somewhat smaller. Anything that blazed quite that brightly could not possibly endure. That was something that only existed in movies and books. After gathering my thoughts, I turned around and went back inside. It was nothing unusual for me to go for long walks on the beach, but I needed to demonstrate to myself that I could deal with this situation. As I approached the house, I could see two persons standing on the terrace engaging in animated conversation with a lot of hand gestures. The closer I approached, the more obvious it became that it was Emrina and Harry, and I began to wonder if they were arguing over me. As I got closer, I could make out the reverberation of her voice in the breeze. "You are now twenty-six years old... continuing to behave like the manwhore you've always been... We came here to figure out what we want to do with our lives. It was a routine activity with them, and I softly licked my lips in response. When Emrina looked down and spotted me, she immediately stopped talking and began glaring at her brother. I didn't want to be the one to draw attention to it, but she shared quite a few of Harry's peculiar behaviors. For the past few years, she has been saying that it was something that happened in college, but what would she say now? After looking at me for what seemed like an eternity and acting as though he wanted to say something, Harry eventually turned and walked inside. I pretended I didn't care as I proceeded up the stairs, letting out a breath as I went. "Did he pay attention this time around?" “He never does. Harry is such a mule in this regard. She said that to me as I smiled in a feeble way. He was. When can we expect him to become an adult? "It's possible that he won't." I found a seat in a lounge and brushed my hair away from my face before sitting down. "Some men never do." "He shouldn't be going in here like that in the morning, especially not in front of Mom," I said. "She'll be embarrassed." She went on, and at this point I started to giggle. As I spoke to her, she remained silent and fixed her gaze on me. I told her, "Your mom gets it with both of you." It's not a problem. You have no right to pass judgment on him, even while I won't do so on you. Emri, everyone has their own method of operation. "Why are you acting like such a naive child?" As she sat down in the chair opposite me, she whispered something. "Not without blame. Just different." I made my case. She was clueless about what her brother was capable of doing in bed, and who was I to make her feel queasy? "It's likely that he has the same feelings about you. I have no doubt about it. You must have seen him at that party, right? "I believe that all he is doing is being crabby. According to Mom, there was some kind of incident in Avalon, and that's why he's here so early. I mean, he has always shown concern for others. That evening was so outrageous that I'm convinced he caused David to have a heart attack. She let out a chuckle before falling down and then closing her eyes. "I will attend his wedding someday, and he will attend mine at some point in the future. That has never been a secret to me." I turned to gaze at the door that Harry had just left through, and I wondered whether he was coming back to seek solace from me once more. I was unable to make that offer. I had no choice but to force him to work through this challenge on his own, even if it meant he had to interact with other women. I couldn't put my heart in danger. "We'll see." My stomach turned at the thought of attending his wedding and having to watch him commit himself to another person. At this time, I couldn't even fathom thinking about my own. /Harry/ On Monday morning, when I was putting my blue tie back in place, I looked in the mirror. I was told that it brought out the color in my eyes, which I considered to be the most striking feature of my appearance. I had the ability to win people over. My hair was given a deliberately disheveled appearance, and I carefully slid the jacket of my suit on over it. Even though the company wasn't as large as the one I worked for in Avalon, I still appeared to be a good fit for the position. It was a beginning. I reached into my pocket and removed my keys, twirling them around my index finger as I left the room. Shauna, who was wearing a flowy purple sundress, was on her way up the stairs when she paused, looked up, and formed the letter "O" with her mouth. "You look nice." As she took her time examining me, she remarked. The sensation of her eyes moving over me in such a deliberate manner caused my skin to boil as they mentally disrobed me. "Are you there for the job interview?" I responded with, "Yeah," The mere sight of her rendered me completely oblivious. "Good luck." She proceeded to walk in front of me, and after a moment of observation on my part, I started jogging in her direction. Mom was sitting on the couch reading when she got up to leave. "Wow, Harry, you've really put in some work. You have an excellent chance of getting this position. She walked up to give me a hug, and as I smiled, she planted a kiss on my cheek. I looked up at her and murmured, "Thanks, Mom," as she beamed at me. Although she did not express her criticism of my way of life as openly as Emrina had, I could tell from the look in her eyes that she did not approve. "Everything is going to work out well." She was unaware of the specifics of the altercation that took place in Avalon with my previous employer or of my concern that he may have blacklisted me in the profession. In addition to that, I had no idea that I would come upon him while he was having intimate relations with my girlfriend.
