Dexter had already had a busy day, all he really wanted to do was go home and lay in his hottub, have a drink and sleep. He had already made plans with friends and even though it was the highlight of his week most weeks, today he just didn't feel like it, he had already canceled the plans and the reservations at the the country club when Hugo called and insisted they still meet up, he was finally bringing Carly to meet them. Hugo had been in love with her since he could speak, it seemed to Dexter, at least. He had always talked about her and he knew that he lost his virginity to her in a pact they had made in high-school. After they dated for all of 10 days something went wrong and they broke it off before it even began. Hugo fought tooth and nail to stay friends with her and he swears to this day that that's all they are. They had taken him apart about it over the years, and he'd had to endure endless jokes about how he'd been hung up on her. Hugo talked about her often, her accomplishments and all the trips they'd taken together as friends, but he'd never introduced her to them, saying that she was, too pure to hang around the lot of them. They all knew that he was scared shitless that she'd fall for one of them, and that was something his heart couldn't handle. It sparked Dexter's interest as to why he would have a change of heart after keeping her away from them for close to 30 years. He felt an unexplainable excitement rise as he stood in his bedroom deciding what to wear. It wasn't a night at at club house that was for sure. He decided on dark jeans that hugged his waist but sat loose enough to be comfortable and a light blue button down shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows and white sneakers. His dark blonde hair sat sleek on his head and he ran his fingers through his hair until it sat neat to the side the way he liked. Studying his face he regretted not shaving but there wasn't any time so the 3 day stuble would have to do, smiling as a memory came to him about his last housekeeper who had told him that it was becoming on him after they'd spent the night together. She had told him that the stuble made his full lips stand out even more and that just by looking at it made her wet. The memory of what she'd done right after sent an exotic shiver down his spine. He was almost sad that he'd have to let her go, she was a very willing and very able s****l partner. He did prefer the clean shaved look, as he felt that it accentuated his strong jawline, which admittedly he knew was something a lot of women found attractive. He gave a little sigh and shrugged at himself in the mirror. He looked fine, it was just Hugo's friend anyway, he'd said she wouldn't even stay the whole night so that would mean just the boys and he's was not shaving for them! The little Mexican restaurant was private and felt almost, too romantic for a table of five men. The lights and painted clay vases that stood in every open space possible gave it a Mediterranean vibe. The outside wall decorated with blue and white tiles, that had different patterns on them. He felt himself relax instantly as he let the soft music wash over him. He decided that if the food and service were any good that he'd put this on his list of favorite places. Not often has an atmosphere at a restaurant influenced his mood like this, he felt like he was in Mexico on holiday, one could not tell that the busy city was just behind the restaurant walls. He had arrived early and ordered beer for the table, this was something he had always done. He wanted his friends to arrive and feel welcome, it was a tradition.... he would be there first order the first round and tell them what the specials were. He liked it this way. Hugo was the first to arrive and he looked nervous, he kept glacing at the swing door that led from the restaurant to the garden, waiting for her, but every time the door opened another one of their friends walked in, Stephen, Joe, Calvin. She was running late, Hugo said it was not very typical of her and worried some more so Dexter had ordered some shots, that always helped to set the tone. His plan had worked, Hugo had stopped staring at the door like a love sick fool. Soon he was laughing and being himself. Until she arrived. Dexter had to admit that he wasn't expecting her to be so beautiful, for some reason he had expected her to look mousy, Hugo had always talked about her like she was a bookworm and very innocent, too. The woman standing infront of them was darn sexy, she was curvy in all the right places and had the most luscious dark brown hair he'd ever seen, he was sure she could be a model. Yet, the most alluring part of her seemed to be her eyes and the way they lit up when she smiled. Hugo had introduced them und he couldn't get a word out, she was classy and beautiful. Dexter couldn't help but wonder how Hugo, had convinced her to sleep with him and of course he understood why he'd kept her away from them, from him. Dexter in his younger years wouldn't put their friendship before a girl like Carly, he knew he would have tried something with her, even tonight the very first thing he wanted to do was to touch her anywhere. The night started off with a lot of laughs and Carly gladly gave up stories of their childhood, he didn't learn a whole more about Hugo, because he'd known him since he was in the third grade and Hugo in the first. Hugo had been a straightforward, level headed kid and that's how he stayed until this day. There weren't any secrets or something deeper he'd missed, Hugo was Hugo, everywhere. It felt good to know that he didn't have many faces as he was one person Dexter knew he could trust him with anything. Her laugh was mesmerizing as she jokes around with Hugo. She had everyone at the table hanging onto her every word and Dexter could see that she was oblivious. She was relaxed and her giggles was the sound that drifted through the garden area as their food arrived and she was pulled away by the young waitress. He realised that they had spent the whole evening talking about their childhood but largely about Hugo since he was what they had in common. Carly had managed to intrigue Dexter without him knowing a single thing about her. He couldn't help but watch her as she chatted and laughed with the owner and what looked like his wife and daughters. He'd never seen someone laugh and smile that easily, that often and so whole heartedly. He willed himself to look away but his eyes were glued to her, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been this intrigued, this curious and possibly this turned on by a woman. The events that followed only peaked his interest more. She was challenging him and he knew she would use his answers against him. He loved his limited edition Porsche, sure but there were other things he cared for more. His ego did take a hit at how quickly she raised the stakes and how quickly he had lost the game, soon realizing that he wouldn't get to know her angered him. The fact that he didn't have more access to her ...that she was so out of reach. He wasn't used to feeling this way, and certainly wasn't used to someone challenging him head on. He'd lost his temper and had nothing to do with the car and everything to do with wanting to get closer to her and having failed. He needed to know more. Stalking to the restaurant he had already decided to call his private investigator to find out anything, everything about her. The rest of the night went by in a blur, he remembered lots of tequila, some dancing and a very welcome goodbye kiss that made him want more. The way she had said his name, her voice like silk, his name coming out of her perfect lips had driven him crazy and before he had time to respond she was gone. He had never been so thankful for having certain connections as he had been that night. Rudy, the investigator had been waiting for them outside the restaurant, ready to follow Carly home. When he woke he'd known all the basics, where she lives, works, went to school. He had tried to stay away, had wanted to let a few days pass but it was impossible. Something drew him to her like a moth to a flame. He didn't want to think it through or wait to see her again, he was acting on impulse when he entered the building where she worked. A back story all lined up. In truth he did always check the neighborhood throughly before buying a building, he just didn't plan on doing it so early into negotiations, but he used the opportunity never the less. He was growing more and more anxious with each office that didn't belong to her. Until he heard her laughing, a sound his entire body welcomed and it pulled him toward her. He drowned out whatever Bernie was saying and pushed through the door to find her leaning over the corner of her desk laughing into a phone. The man holding the phone jumped up and shoved the phone into his jacket pocket while Carly straighten herself and squinted her eyes, "Dexter?" Was that surprise or panick in her voice? He hadn't thought about what he'd say to her so he just stood there, like a fool smiling, half wanting her to laugh again. Then she spoke again in hushed toned, "What are you doing here, wait how did you know where I worked?" She stood straightend her dress over her flat stomach and shifted her feet. Waiting for him to give her an answer. She almost took his breath away, red heels, red hot lips and her form fitting black dress. An outfit that would make any man look twice. He had to summon some form of courage, he didn't know what to say. He had to lie. Clearing his throat he managed, "Hi, Carly, hello. Uhm not here to see you, I uhm came to look at the building." Carly takes a step towards him and squints then looks as Bernie, who is standing behind him and quickly back at Dexter. Almost in a whisper she says, "Bernie, Michael could you give us a moment?" Both men looked seemingly uncomfortable as they nodded and left her office. When the door was shut she took one more step toward him, " First off, I'm no fool, I know why you're here, and it's got nothing to do with a "building", Dexter felt his cheeks burn, how had she known his need for her? Had she felt it,too? She looked fierce and all he could think about was ripping her dress off of her and pressing her against a wall. She continued with a serious face, "Secondly, this could count as stalking you know, I never even told you my last name, never mind where I work! Wait now that I think about it that's definitely stalking!" Dexter suddenly felt nervous, did she really think that he was some kind of stalker? Wait. Was he? He didn't have long to ponder the thought because she continued, "I know why you're here and you've made the trip unnecessarily, I'm afraid." Dexter suddenly snapped out of his daze, "Ok, Carly, then if I'm not here because of the building, then please tell me why I'm here?" His words scared him as he realised from was a question directed more at himself than at her. She frowned slightly and it seemed to him as if she was thinking something over. "Dex, I have no time for games today, I have a pro-bono case I'm starting and I have the Malone case going on, too. You know the one that's all over the news." She had called him Dex , in all his life he had never let anyone call him anything other than Dexter, it annoyed him and sounded tacky but the way she said it made him want to hear her say it again. He was staring at her lips and lost in thought when she suddenly snapped her fingers infront of his face ,"Dex, hello?! Did you hear me, just now?" Shaking his head,"Yeah, yeah, sorry must be the tequila from last night." Carly let out a sigh, "Ok, look I know this must be hard for you, losing to a woman and losing something so close to your heart but you can't have it back. I won it fair and square, we even signed the contract," she walks over to her desk and produces an already typed up piece of paper stapled to the original written one they had signed last night, "So I know you came here with some kind of bargaining chip, it's not going to work." Oh s**t, he had completely forgotten about the car, his prized Porche, he had infact intended to get it back, just not today. His thoughts were consumed by her and he couldn't take one more minute of not touching her. She put the paper back on her desk and started towards him again, he was still standing just infront the closed door,"I just don't have time for this today.." She reaches past him to open the door but he can't take it anymore, in a quick move he grabs her by the hips, turns her around so her back pressing against the door and kisses her, at first he thought she might fight it, push him off but she gave in and kissed him back slowly giving him access to her mouth, their tongues doing a slow and sensual dance. She tasted sweet and smelled like wild flowers. Dexter moved his hands from her hips to her ass pressing her to him, he wanted her to feel what kind of impact she had on him. As soon as his hands touches her ass she groaned, instantly making that sound his favorite sound in the world. As their kiss slowly intensified he moved his leg in between hers opening her legs slowly, she groaned again and it was enough for him to pick her up and wrap her legs around his waist. Just as he was about to walk them over to the small leather sofa that sat in the corner of her office there was a very loud knock on the other side of the door, right where Carly's head was pressed up against, "Carly, your 10 O'clock is here, where should I have him wait?" Both of them were starteld and she jumped from his embrace, giving him an almost panicked look, "s**t, Dex!" He smiled inwardly, there it was again, Dex . " What was that?" All he could do was look at her lips, red lipstick smudged and her hair that sat perfectly on her head in a tight bun was now a bit more messy, a few loose strands hanging from the back of it where her head was pressed against the door. He doesn't answer her, just stares and for the moment she stares back at him, her eyes on his mouth, and it makes his d**k twitch with want. Another knock on the door, "Carly?!" She breaks her gaze and shakes her head, "Right, uhm sorry,Mikey." Just let him wait in the waiting area, I'll be out in a few minutes." Dexter takes out a handkerchief from his left inside jacket pocket and wipes his mouth, hoping to get all her red lipstick off, then hands it to her so she can do the same. With a look of shock she slowly takes it but still she's just staring. He takes a step towards her again, gives her a hug and squeezes her ass, then he whispers in her ear, "That's what I came here for, beautiful, I couldn't stop thinking about doing it since you kissed me last night." She's about to say something, protest maybe but he let's go of her, walks past her to open the door and just when he has his hand on the handle he looks back and says, "But don't fret my beautiful butterfly, I'll be back for my car, sooner than you think." With that he's out of her office and making his way to the elevator, leaving her with a confused look on her face, lipstick still smeared, handkerchief in hand.
