Chapter Five- Invitation & Agreement George waited downstairs for Bonnie, his anxiety palpable as he stared at the shattered shop door. Andrew’s condition was even more unstable than anticipated, and he hoped Bonnie’s arrival would help improve the situation. When they finally regrouped, George briefly explained the situation to Bonnie before heading upstairs together. The sight before them was shocking: Andrew and Joanna were kissing. After noticing their arrival, Andrew pulled away from Joanna, his rationality gradually returning. He reflected on his recent loss of control, his emotions becoming increasingly complex. But he quickly made a decision. “Bonnie, my sensitive period has arrived.” Bonnie responded swiftly, moving to Andrew’s side and expertly retrieving a syringe of Andrew’s specialized sedative from the medical kit. “Andrew, relax. I’m going to administer the sedative now.” Her voice was calm and professional as her hand found a suitable injection site on Andrew’s arm, and she injected the sedative with precision. Joanna stood quietly to the side, watching the medication slowly enter Andrew’s system. Her mind was filled with complex emotions and countless questions, but she knew now was not the time to ask them. She decided to wait until the sedative took effect before attempting to question Andrew. Bonnie placed the syringe back into the kit and turned to Andrew with a nod. “Andrew, the sedative should start taking effect soon. You should be feeling better now.” Andrew nodded, his breathing becoming steady and his emotions gradually returning to normal. His gaze swept around the room. “George,” Andrew said in a low, authoritative voice, “please go fix Ms. Joanna’s door.” George immediately complied, turning and leaving to attend to the door repair. “Ms. Joanna,” Andrew said, turning to Joanna with a tone that was softer but still carried an authoritative edge, “please wait in the bedroom for a moment. Bonnie and I need to discuss a few things. Once we’ve sorted it out, I’ll explain what just happened.” Joanna was a bit dazed by this sudden arrangement. Her heart was still racing, and her face was pale. She was overwhelmed with questions, but given Andrew’s stern demeanor, she could only nod. “Alright, Mr. Andrew. I’ll wait in the bedroom.” She walked gently and slowly, opening the bedroom door and stepping inside. The soft lighting in the room cast a warm glow on the bed linens. She sat on the edge of the bed, her fingers unconsciously tracing the patterns on the bedding. Her thoughts were in disarray, replaying Andrew’s kiss and the massive debt she owed him. Meanwhile, in the study, Bonnie stood next to Andrew, taking various measurements. Her brow furrowed in concern. “Andrew, this is odd. Given your exceptional physical constitution, your body should be immune to this sedative, so it shouldn’t take effect so quickly.” Andrew took a deep breath, his voice weary yet resolute. “Bonnie, my sensitive period has arrived earlier than expected. What I can confirm is that Joanna’s omega scent seems to be influencing the timing of my sensitive period and controlling my emotional state. Please investigate this phenomenon further; it might help with my condition.” Bonnie pondered for a moment before replying, “Monica and I are working on the next step to address your pheromone frenzy. If Ms. Joanna’s omega scent is indeed beneficial, that would be ideal. However, she may not know how to properly manage and direct your pheromones, which would require Monica’s expertise. I’ll coordinate with the hospital to see if we can synthesize Joanna’s omega scent, which might provide a cure for your frenzy.” Bonnie paused and added, “Ms. Joanna is central to this treatment plan. You should involve her in the decision-making process.” Andrew frowned. “As her creditor, I’m sure I can find a way to ensure she agrees. It’s getting late, so you should finish up and head back. I’ll talk to Joanna further.” Bonnie nodded, clearly concerned. “Andrew, your pheromone frenzy is intense. There’s a risk of harming Ms. Joanna if you lose control. She deserves to be aware of this situation.” Andrew gave Bonnie a long, serious look. “Understood. I’ll explain everything to Joanna.” He walked toward Joanna’s bedroom and knocked gently on the door. “Ms. Joanna, may we talk?” Joanna opened the door and let Andrew in, standing by the door as he entered. Andrew began, “Ms. Joanna, your brother took 3.25 million from us.” His voice was deep and commanding, laced with undeniable coldness. “After deducting the 100,000 you can immediately pay, you still owe 3.15 million. You’ll need to use 50% of your flower shop’s monthly profits to repay this debt. Additionally, you’ll need to work for me. I’ll pay you 100,000 each month for your services.” Joanna knew this debt was nearly unbearable, but she was curious about the new terms Andrew had proposed. Andrew observed her confused expression and continued, “Your job will involve calming me during my pheromone frenzy and coordinating with the hospital for my treatment. Today, my sensitive period arrived early, and your omega scent seems to be linked to this phenomenon. Through your calming influence, my emotions were stabilized.” His gaze grew intense and complicated. “Bonnie, a beta, and my personal doctor believe your omega scent could be a potential cure for my frenzy. I’ll have her draft a contract detailing how you’ll assist in my treatment. What do you think?” Joanna swallowed nervously and looked up at Andrew. “When will our arrangement end? And if… if Alex returns, will I still need to repay the debt?” Andrew smirked, his tone tinged with indifference. “The repayment continues until the debt is settled. As for Alex, do you think he can return all the money?” Joanna felt a surge of helplessness. Faced with Andrew’s pressure, she had little choice. But she mustered the courage to ask, “Is my omega scent the only thing that can cure your condition?” Andrew hesitated, a meaningful smile spreading across his face. He leaned closer to Joanna, gently lifting her chin. His voice was both suggestive and calculating. “It’s only a possibility. I have a dedicated medical team for my treatment. If you want to increase your value, you might consider other ways to please me. I might even consider raising your salary. Of course, if it turns out your pheromones effectively treat my condition, I’ll offer significant compensation.” He leaned closer to Joanna’s ear and whispered, “Ms. Joanna, think it over. I’ll have Bonnie prepare a detailed treatment cooperation contract for you.” Joanna took a deep breath, her voice tinged with resolve and exhaustion. “Alright, I understand.” Andrew stood up, turning toward the bedroom door. His figure was tall and commanding, exuding an air of control. “Ms. Joanna, thank you for your patience tonight. I’ll leave now. Good night and sweet dreams!”
