Unmarked grave

The evening glow glazed like slits against the gloomy forget as she walked slowly through the bushy woods desolate to the outside world. The cliff glared at her as the rushing rapids of the stream down below flowed with hurried intensity. Her back weighed heavily against her as she matched the forests mood. She gently carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas as she approached the unmarked grave. They were her favorite flowers, mostly because they matched the color of her eyes. The air felt heavier, resonating with her emotions as she walked towards a grave in a clearing deep in the forest. Her steps slowed as she stood in front of a tombstone as she glanced at the picture staring at her. The woman had soft features with honey blonde hair which looked like her brothers, but she definitely inherited her icy blue eyes. She was happily smiling when the picture was taken before she was married to her dad. The name was written beneath the picture;Selene Silverstone. Nobody knew my mother's background from before she met my dad, but it was not ordinary because most Lycans are associated with royalty, thus making their population very few. She calmly laid the flowers gently on the grave as she cleaned it up, tears glistening in her eyes threatening to spill as she sat next to the tombstone relieving a lost memory deep in her subconscious thoughts. ''Laughter echoed throughout the beautiful flower garden filled with blue hydrangeas as two toddlers ran through it, playing animately, tapping at each other without a care in the world. A frail woman sat in the swing chair in the corner of the garden as she watched the children play in the garden, a faint smile dancing from her lips despite the weariness her eyes tried to conceal from view. Dun, Lyra its time for supper, she called as she went back to the house in time to remove the dessert from the oven, a dark chocolate cake, their favorite treat. Mummy mummy, the little girl crashed into her mother, her light honey blonde pigtails bouncing animately due to running too fast, eager for an embrace as the little boy trailed close to her with the same expectant gaze. She glanced at them lovingly as she hugged both of them, giving them a peck in both of their cheeks. ''Lyra, what did I say about running too fast?'' 'But mommy, I wanted to get the first hug from you, please don't be mad', she pouted, puffing her cheeks at her mother. ''How can I be mad at you doll? Let's eat first. Today I made your favorite dessert,''she said as she placed the chocolate cake at the dining table. ''Yay, chocolate cake,''the children exclaimed in happiness as they sat at the dining table glancing at it expectantly, but they never got to eat the cake. The front door crashed with such force that it shattered the once warm, harmonious atmosphere as their father entered the house, his alpha aura in full unleashed, making the room painfully suffocating. The two children cuddled together in a corner as their mother shielded them from him. He stepped into the room in large strides as he grabbed his mate's hair, violently yanking her from the children. Everything spiraled out of control within seconds as chaos was unleashed in the house, her mother screaming animately at them to run and hide. The little girl grabbed the boy as she ran to the storage room, shielding the boy from the crashing noise from the dining room as she saw everything from the gap left by the door, tears spilling from her cheeks silently leaving scars on her little fragile heart as she shielded her brother from witnessing the chaos and horror happening in the house. After a few minutes later, the voices came to a halt as the door was violently crashed and the living room became eerily quiet. Lyra told her brother to stay there as she left the storage to check the situation. The little girl went to the living room only to find her mother standing still at the crashed dining table, the beautiful chocolate cake scattered on the ground alongside the broken cutlery the aftermath of a once perfect dinner for them. Her mother glanced at her,her eyes vacant of the spark of life she once had.Her hair was brutally disheveled and slap marks glared from her beautiful face.A knife was dancing from her hand as droplets of blood dripped from it,clearly from my father when the conflict escalated. She quietly came towards the little girl her steps gently as she unclapsed the glittering gold crown shaped necklace she wore all her life and placed it on her as she smiled gently at her as she knew it would be the last time she will smile at her little doll again as she told her her final words. ''I love you little doll, take care of your brother.'' She glanced at her tears falling rapidly aganist her cheeks as she ran to the cliff behind the house jumping to her death leaving her children behind, the emotional torment from her mate was too much to handle drivig her insane. The little girl screamed loudly as she saw her mother fall to her death attracting the park, as they went to search for their luna desperately beneath the cliff but the river beneath had already claimed her body, never to be seen again. Aliyah glanced at the grave, her fingers rubbing on the necklace clapsed on her neck as she relieved the horrors of the past. Her mothers body was never found ,thus she decided to make a grave for her to honour her memory at the cliff she had died from. She was the only glimpse of light in hers and brothers life before the nightmare began. ''Mother,I will never make the same mistake you made due to the mate bond,''she said resolutely to the grave as she left the grave which had already been claimed by the darkness of the chilly night as she went back to the park house.A hooded figure moved from the shaows, his piercing gaz of his heterochromia eyes glanced intensly at her back as she retreated to the park house.
