Aliyahs pov.
My mood soured as I heard his suggestion. Did he really hate me that much to suggest such a thing or that the idea of us being mates was hateful to him.
But we are enemies, so why is the idea of him hating me crushing my soul. My wolf had been moody all day and retreated to her corner, sulking over her mate. Maybe my actions of the past made him hate me with a passion. I cannot blame him though. Out of all the people I have hurt, only him do I feel guilty and a hint of regret. But what choice do I have? I can't let him reject me, for a hybrid, once we reject each other, we live with unbearable pain for the rest of our lives, making someone go mad and driven with rage, becoming very dangerous to the park. By now the sun was setting, evening approaching, the sunset glow illuminating the hall in a beautiful shed of orange amidst the gloomy atmosphere. My beta approached me with caution to not interrupt my train of thoughts, but I had already sensed her.
''Reina, prepare a room for our guest but the chains remain. We must make our guest comfortable while he is here.'' I told her as I headed to the training grounds to release my pent-up frustrations.
''Yes alpha.'' She replied as she gave out instructions to the patrol soldiers nearby.
Later that night....
The cold windy breeze of the dead lifeless night violently tapped against the bedroom's window as the temperature drooped low in the dimly lit room. A small figure laid on the bed, sweat dripping on her forehead, her head furrowing with pain as she was trapped in another restless dream.
I''m twelve-years-old again, a small, scared, helpless girl back into the forbidden forest again. This is the day I ran away from home. The wolves are chasing behind me as I hear my bastard father yelling after me.'' Little brat, stop right there, how dare you burn the pack house? When I catch you, I will kill you to join your useless weak mother.'' The fear rushed over me as I ran as fast as my legs could take me, the wolves were closing me down with every step. Pain shot up in my cramped legs as they threatened to give out but the will to survive was great. They are catching up to me. I couldn't let them catch me as I ran deeply into the center of the forest as the footsteps faded away. This was forbidden to ground no wolves dared to venture deep. The forbidden forest was rumored for many mysteries, but worse of it all was that wolves disappeared, and their bodies were never found. That's why my father assumed I would die on my way there, ceasing the pursuit. But the forbidden forest was better than that sadist psycho father. The forest was eery quiet as I slowed down, my legs aching with unbearable pain as I wandered the forest, the fear in my heart pulsing through my veins. The voices of the beasts drew near as if sensing my presence. My tiny body swayed as I struggled to be conscious and alert, but exhaustion overwhelmed me as I fainted. The darkness consumed me whole. Maybe this is for the best. At least I'll see my mother again.
I jolted awake, sweat dripping from me with frantic panic. These dream plagues are getting worse and worse, making me relieve the nightmares I have suffered over and over again throughout those years. I'm not that little girl anymore. She died the moment she entered the forbidden forest. What remained of her was the coldblooded, ruthless alpha. My wolf saved me, but due to forcefully awaking her early, she didn't awaken her potential as the white wolf as she should. She was supposed to awaken when I reached eighteen years, but due to the incident, my wolf had to heal herself slowly. But after that, all I endured after that was worse than death. After all, the only person I could rely on was myself. My younger version didn't deserve that type of childhood for herself, leaving me with so many regrets and what ifs...
