ELIZABETH
I met Lucas in front of his locker. Though I’d grown so much in these few short days, Lucas had seen Natalia’s actions through my body. I knew that I’d have to recount for them. Each of her choices had left a strain between Lucas and I. When the time was right, I’d share the story. Right now, I just wanted things to go back to normal.
“Hey,” I said, gaining his attention.
His green eyes swept over me and he smiled. “Hey.”
I was glad that the weirdness of our weekend had not broken us. My heart was filled with love for him. I recalled our kiss and wished I could explain what he’d done to me. Unfortunately, there were too many issues that I had to work through before I could ever admit my feelings for Lucas.
“It’s good to see you.”
“You too.” He closed his locker
