Chapter Four, Back From My Desicion

1641 Words
I took a cab to ride me home and this was the time I felt weakened.  I knew I needed the place. Where would we live now that it is not ours? My whole body started to shiver. I couldn't get the negotiation accepted as it was all lies. I had to do something about that. And I exactly knew that I had no more time to waste for the house we were living in at the moment was going to be someone else’s shelter. I instantly stopped the cab. Whoever that man was, I didn’t mind. I needed that place and it didn't matter what he wanted to do. I didn’t want my family to get hurt because of me. Not anymore… I walked as fast as I could, entered the building and faced that motherfucker builder. I couldn’t prevent what was about to happen. I shouted as Flash. ‘Who the f**k do you think you are? What on the hell have you done? Sold the house to the both of us? Ha? How does your conscience let you do such a thing? How dare you misbehave like that? Who the hell told you to do so? f**k you. Damn you. You gonna give my money back! No, you are gonna give my house to me, bastard…’ My breath went away. I stared at him in disgust. But what made me lose my temper wasn’t what he had done. What was, was that he was snickering as I said these. My face went red and hot to the touch. And I saw red. ‘Calm down you bitch.’ After I was done, he said not caring what I thought. ‘How dare you?’ This wasn’t me. This was Mr. James. His face was red. And the vessels on his temple were swollen. His hands were clumped, ready to fight. His voice was shaking. I was… was so… so confused. This was him wanting to beat the asshole with anger. ‘How dare you talk to a lady like that? Ha? Hadn’t your mom taught you to be respectful to a woman?’ The man seemed mute. But after some delay began, ‘I am sorry but she was being cruel, weren’t you?’ he turned his face to me. ‘You are not entitled to talk like that even if so. You please come with me lady.’ I was hesitant to do so but was helpless enough to trust that man. He took me to the lobby. Then turned to me and went ahead, ‘You have done enough for me not to trust you. But…’ ‘You don’t have to trust.’ ‘Listen.’ He put a finger on my lip. My whole body shook. And the tremble went through my stomach to my toes. His finger was soft, his voice softer. And before I could say anything else, his lips came on mine. His hands forced me to the wall pulling my hands against it. The kiss was long and also everlasting. His body touched mine. My hands went to disrupt. But he was strong. He murmured in my ear, ‘Don’t say you want me to stop.’ ‘I can’t do this.’ I really couldn't. I was to be someone else's. I was engaged. But more was that I couldn't let a complete stranger take me down. He stepped back as saw my hesitance. He smoothed his coat and cleared his throat ‘Well, I can sell the house to you at $3000000. That’s all I wanted to say.’ I was shocked by the change of the subject. ‘Sir, I suppose I have already told you that I can’t fulfill that amou-’ Stupid! Sir??? He kissed my whole. ‘Okay, $2600000 and that’s it.’ ‘How do you sell it to me at that price? That’s a lot washout. You want anything in return?’ ‘I don’t mind about the loss. And about turns, you will know what to do at the right time.’ He took his coat and went to leave when I stopped him. ‘I really don’t know how to thank you. You are my savior.’ He smirked. One of his really bitter smiles -it was a day I knew him- and then left. Yeah, he was my hero and there was no denying it.   ***   John’s point of view My phone buzzed as the reply appeared on the screen of my cell. All over the sheets there was a slight shake. My God! Look what you have created. How self-confident and ambitious can a human being be! How easy I’ve taken her! You little jerk!  ‘I already know that your benefits are more important than your reputation for a lady like me. So don’t bother to say ‘‘Sorry’’.’ She was completely on my nerves, so with my hands shaking I typed as fast as I could: ‘No, you haven’t got the right idea. I’m sorry for empathizing too much. I should’ve been more like a real man. Cause as you know, when it comes to your case I’m not about to be domestic anymore, dear Lady.’ How i***t I’ve been not to kill her while saying; ‘Those people about whom you are talking about, are none of my f*****g business.’ Now I got what she wants. She wants her dream of inheritance of his father’s estates to come true. She is such a moron. She thinks in case his brother keeps on as he’s doing now –which now annoys Mr. Unthems much more than a bit-, he will decide to give her all his properties. All she needs is that sweet dream to become real. Whatever it takes, it’s not important to her. If folks around her die or lose jobs or become ashamed in front of their families, she doesn’t mind. Cause the only person she cares about is herself and no one else. She doesn’t even know what the word ‘‘humanity’’ means. Doesn’t know how a man feels when there’s no money in his torn pocket to pay his debts, pay for his family; and she doesn’t know that there is no way for him to be able to look into their eyes with pride when they do something nice to him. Their children somehow don’t know what academic education is or how those expensive massages, Jinny is used to taking, are. They’re living such a life and Jinny keeps on saying those fourteen bitter words so simply.  Well, there was no whys to her awful characteristics, because I’ve got a response to that: SHE WAS GROWN LIKE THIS AND SO THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE THIS BEAST INTO A HUMAN. SHE IS TOO HEARTLESS TO UNDERSTAND OTHERS. The truth is plain. Well if she has got that fourteen words, I’ve got that twenty five! I was thinking of those people whose life I’ve saved when the house bell rang and made me go for it. A sweet face appeared in the door. ‘Halo, man. Didn’t you wanna come over? I just got worried ’bout ya.’ ‘I am so sorry I hadn’t called. I thought you-’ ‘Don’t you wanna ask me to join you in?’ She wait for my response and passed me after pulling me away with her hands. Amanda was looking at me in suspense. She took an apple from the table and lay on a sofa with a kinda strange gesture. ‘So what is up? You never visit me unintentionally.’ ‘Yeah. Well, you know how frank I am. I am marrying a millionaire within six month.’ ‘Well, so direct. Who is that lucky gentleman?’ She started biting the apple willingly. ‘The thing is you know ‘‘him’’ though.’ ‘Okay.’ My curiosity was killing me. ‘He is… (Sub, sub, sub) Mister… (God kill you, c’mon) Mr. Adam James.’ ‘What?! No! You are not marrying him! ’ I was too shocked by the speed responding. ‘And why wouldn’t I? He is a millionaire. He is every girls dream…’ ‘And that is exactly the problem. Do you know how many girls he had been with?’ ‘I don’t care. It is only a business marriage. And apart, you are his friend. You shouldn’t be talking about him like that.’ ‘Don’t involve yourself in that. And to your concern, I don’t let you marry on business!’ ‘And who you exactly are in my life?’ Seven words; who you exactly are in my life? Really, Who am I? I was a long way from her territory and she was right; it had nothing to do with me. The girl I had always supported and like just like Tati know tells me I am no one in her life. Yes, maybe not written anywhere but I am the one who was always there for you; no matter when or where and that’s the truth. ***
