Dawn Dizon: The Fantasy Come True

Chapter 3

We soon arrived at a marketplace full of creatures and people. There were some buying clothes, and some were buying food. The place looked quite like a normal marketplace in the Philippines, selling fresh fish and chicken, cheap clothes, vegetables and fruits, and more. 

"Oh! Let's go here! There are many beautiful dresses here!" Linette said as she tries to pull me by a string of my hair. "Okay, okay" I laughed as I followed her. But we suddenly bumped into someone, "Hey!-" she screamed. A girl with ash grey hair with hazel eyes and dark skin, wearing a long fur white faded to blue coat, black knee-high boots, and a dark blue slip dress. 

"Sorry, I didn't see you there" I apologized to her. She looks behind her as if she was hiding from someone, she didn't say anything and just left. "That was weird," I said with confusion. "Oh! She didn't even apologize as well," said Linette with an angry tone, ready to chase after her, but I stopped her and said "It's fine, I'm okay" with a smile.

 Suddenly four huge men with knives hidden in their jackets were running in the girl's direction. So she was hiding from someone, "Linette! Come on!" I screamed as I followed the men. "Why are we following them?" she asked me while following the huge men with me. "I think she's in trouble! We need to help her!" I answered her while still running, "Oh! Okay!" Linette agreed. 

We arrived in a not that small corner on the streets, it was dark and the only way in is the only way out. Not of crouse if you could climb walls, or fly, or jump really high, or you have a piece of vertical maneuvering equipment, or you can teleport, my point is those are the only way you could get out. 

"You have nowhere to go little girl," a man said, "It's over," another man said while laughing at each other. "Hey! leave her alone!-" I screamed as a blue bright light from my plum flashed to the four men that pushed them down into the ground. "What the-?" I whispered to myself confused about what I just did. "Dawn you have powers just like Jencks!" Linette said as she grabbed red sprinkling dust from her bag and dusted it to the four men's shoes. Their foot suddenly got hot and it slowly turned into fire, one of the men got rid of the fire imminently and was ready to get his revenge on me and Linette when suddenly, the ash gray-haired girl rushed in and punched the man's face, saving us from him. 

"Well it is over, for you," she said as she made the other man fall by sliding her feet on the ground that unbalanced the man. She also elbow strikes the other man while also throwing kicks at his legs that made him fell. And then she made really fast punches to the other men's stomach and did a split kick to the other two men that made them fell hard to the ground as well. As soon as all the men were on the ground, having a hard time getting up because of the pain, the kung fu girl turned around to me and Linette "Thanks, but I didn't really need your help." she said as she jumped on top of a dumpster. 

"Stay where you are!" Knights wearing gray amours screamed as they run towards us. "What are you doing here? Were you using magic?" They asked us like they were cops. "Oh Yes sir, but-" Linette was suddenly disturbed by one of the knights, "Did you know that using magic is not allowed here? We do respect you Dimayas, but I hope you respect us too." What is he talking about? What are Dimayas?

"Oh! We greatly apologize sir, my friend, here, Dawn Dizon is new, and-" Linette was again disturbed by the knight, "Dawn Dizon?! I greatly apologize, we were not informed that you will be going here." he apologized while the other knights were still shocked, whispering to each other. "Um... no, I should be the one who apologizes, I didn't know that it was f*******n to used magic here and I didn't even know that I have magic in the first place," I said to the knight, still confused on what just happened a while ago, speaking of a while an ago, I looked back on the dumpster, but the kung fu girl was nowhere to be found, but a button from her coat was lifted behind. I picked it up and saw a snowdrop flower painted on it. 

I suddenly felt dizzy, it's like the world was spinning around so fast that I couldn't keep up, "Linette I don't feel so good-," and black!

"Diana! Come on! Diana!" I heard the same name but it was spoken by someone else. I could see a girl and a boy dressed almost like the kung fu girl. I could tell that it was freezing because of the low temperature that I was feeling, but it suddenly felt warm, and I realized that I was wearing winter clothes while holding a snowball. The girl and boy suddenly threw snowballs at each other than at me, I had a feeling that made me want to play snowball with them too, it almost felt like they were my friends because I feel comfortable with them.

"Would you please let go of me! I am a prince you know" Cal said while I just stopped and looked at him seriously. "Please?" he begged. I finally let them both go and said " Cal, you know that prince thing won't work with me, right? The King himself personally told me to looked after you and to treat you like my own brother, which means that I'm-a-prince-thing won't have any valid to me." I explained to him again. "Okay, okay, I know-" Cal said as he giggled. Being one of the rarest white knights, and a Dimaya, is a big responsibility and with a full heart, I accepted it, for the people and the world. "Jencks, you didn't inform me that your sister was gorgeous," Cal said.

"Cal! No way! Not in a million!" I warned him. Cal and Louis laughed "Okay, okay, I get it" Cal apologized while he punched my shoulder lightly. 

"By the way, Jencks, why did you bring us here?" Louis asked me. I cleared my throat and said "You may all know what it means that Dawn is here now, right? We have to be ready for anything, we should know who to trust, and who to be careful for." I told them. "Your right, Litber is not safe anymore," Louis agreed with me, "So are you and Dawn" Cal added. I knew this day would come but I always feared this day. 

"Hey, don't worry Jencks, I won't let anything happen to you and dawn," Louis said as he tried to comfort me. "Well, perhaps we could not think of that now and just be prepared for the welcoming ball tonight?" Cal tries to change the vibe to cheer me up. "Your right, let's go." I agreed as we went to our chambers to dress up for tonight's event. 

"How do I look?" Louis said as he entered my room, he was wearing a dark green dinner jacket and black tuxedo pants to a tie bow. "Um... Looks like it's missing something," I said as I took a black-tie ball and tied it around his neck, "There, much better." I said as I pulled away from him. "Thank you..." he thanked me, " Oh, we matched" I suddenly realized that I was too wearing a green tuxedo but it was just lighter than his, with a white long tie "Well you look at that," I giggled while scraping the back of my head. "We do both have good taste" I continued as we both laughed. 

Alvar suddenly entered the room dressed in formal attire, white tailcoat, and pants with black long inner shirt, matched with a white tie bow. "The king has requested to see us," he said. "Wow Alvar, you look great!" Louis said, it was really a shock for us to see him like that, most of the balls he would wear the same clothes as always, but now, he's finally trying something new and I think I know why. "It really fits you Alvar," I said agreeing to Louis's statement. 

"I agree!" Cal suddenly said as he revealed himself from Alvar's back while wearing a white full-dress shirt with white pique wing collar, white bow tie,shirt-studs, waistcoat, and cufflinks while pairing it with black pleated pants and double-breasted tailcoat. "Well, certainly I will agree, I am the one who chose it." he bragged. Well that made sense, I can't argue that Cal does have good fashion sense since he got the hearts of almost all of the ladies of Litber. 

"We have to go now the event will be starting in a few hours," Alvar said as he was ready to get out of my room. "He's right! My father said he wanted to talk to us before the ball begins." Cal said as he rushed out of my room. We followed him out to the King's chamber. 

The King suddenly went out from his room "Your Majesty," we all said while bowing our heads. "Oh, you're here, great," the King said as he looked at his guards and servants and said "Excuse us, will you please?" they all bowed and obeyed the King's order. "Jencks, tell the knights to guard the north and east, while Louis, tell your team of knights to guard the south and west." the King ordered us. "Yes sir!" we replied. "Alvar, I need the elves' help to monitor the high grounds, will that be okay?" the King requested assistance from the elves "Ofcrouse, your Majesty," Alvar replied.

 "How about me, father? What may be a  service too?" Cal asked his father, waiting for an answer. "Well you son, will be helping me greet our guests and new students in the low grounds." the King answered him. "Ohhh You mean what I always do every year or event?" he said when a disappointed tone. "Ofcrouse son, it's too dangerous tonight, and while greeting the people we can examed them if they didn't attend this event with bad intentions." the king explained to him while putting his hand to Cal's shoulder. 

"Okay then! Let's go to it!" Cal cheered out loud as we bowed to the King and left to fulfill the KIng's order.

"Captain J! Captain J!" Suddenly three knights from my team ran toward us. "What is it? What's the report?" I asked them calmly. "Lady Dawn has fainted at the marketplace and was sent to the healing room." They answered my question. "What!?-" I panicked, what happened to her? It's all my fault! Suddenly Alvar ran outside toward the exit, I wanted to follow him because I'm certain that he rushed to the healing room by now. How am I supposed to see my sister if I still got an order to obey?! "Go, I can tell the knights, don't worry," Louis said as he holds my shoulder. "Thank you a lot, Louis!" I thanked him and ran to the healing room.
