Chapter Twenty-Six – A Table for Two  Evandra When Kohl appeared at the doorway of the omega quarters, Evandra thought she was in trouble again. “The Alpha requests your presence,” Kohl said, his tone as unreadable as stone. Her stomach dropped. She quickly wiped her hands on her apron, excusing herself from folding linens. Sage stirred in the back of her mind, restless but curious. Why is he calling for us? Sage’s voice was sharp, protective. What does he want? Evandra didn’t answer. She was too busy keeping her heart from hammering straight out of her chest.
