1 year 5 months later POV: Vinny Seven can still communicate with Niko. I thought the distance would make it harder, but I guess their bond is just too strong. Niko told us that Gio had stopped looking for us, and he swore to tell us if he started looking again. I know that Niko loves Seven and wants her to be safe, but part of me thinks he would withhold information, so that he could be with her physically. He has never had the chance to. 'I would get to be with him, if you and his human make up. All you have to do is talk to him.' Seven was irritated. I know she accepts my decision, even if she doesn't agree with it. 'Don't you humans like to talk all the time anyway?' I just ignore her. I have to get ready for work. I take a shower, fluff my hair and put on a dress and cardigan. I dress to impress. Specifically, to impress the gorgeous building manager. I know he is already smitten, but it is still really nice to see the effect I have on him. It's no mate bond, but I will take it. Of course, he is the first person I see when I walk into the front door. If I didn't know any better, I would think he was waiting for me. "Good morning," he said as his eyes traced my curves. I smiled back at him, greeting him as well. Tristan is tall, maybe 6'3", a golden complexion with the nicest shoulders and back muscles. I can see them through his clothes. His jaw is strong, and he's got those pouty pink lips. I've tasted them a couple of times, but we've never gotten further than that. He walks with me to the elevator, walking slightly behind me and I just know that he is trying to look at me from a different angle. The second that elevator door closes, he backs me up against the wall. One hand on each side of me. "You look amazing," he brought his face so close to mine, I thought he would kiss me. 'Can he back up?' Seven interrupted. 'I don't ask you to stop seeing Niko.' 'That's different.' I know what she means, but I deserve happiness too. "Thank you, Tristan." I replied, remembering I hadn't before Seven interrupted. "Come over tonight?" he asked, still standing so close to me. "I'll make you dinner." I nodded before pulling his lips onto mine. Before I could get lost in his soft lips, I nibbled on his bottom lip before breaking away, just in time for the elevator door to open. The person standing outside the elevator almost made my heart drop back down to the ground level. "Lu- Vinny?" Martin looked at me like I was a ghost. He looked back and forth between Tristan and I, and I am pretty sure that he knew something was going on between us. "I will see you tonight, Vin." Tristan kissed my temple and walked away. I could see Martin's wolf fighting to come to the surface. "Martin." I said, placing my hand onto his arm, knowing he obviously wanted to protect me. He looked back at me, like I betrayed him. 'You are betraying him. Gio, him, the whole pack.' 'Seven, I don't need to hear this right now.' 'You are their fated Luna, and he just saw you with someone who is not his best friend and Alpha.' Martin waited for my eyes to return to normal before continuing. "He is here," Martin shrugged. "Could you just go home for the day?" "Why? He isn't here for me." I asked. Martin just looked at me and shrugged before walking into the elevator. I took a big whiff, making sure that I could not smell Gio on my floor. I could avoid him for a day as long as he wasn't on my floor. It was clear. POV: Gio I hadn't planned to look for her. She made it very clear that she didn't want me. She broke my heart twice. I hated her as much as she hated me. But when I walked into the building, her scent hit me. I have never missed a scent so much. She was all over the lobby, all over the elevator, her scent led me right to her office. I looked around in her office and couldn't help but smile at her accomplishments hanging on the wall. She was always ambitious. I looked at the one photo on her desk. It was her and her parents. Looking at my biggest failure, sent a pang through my heart. I quickly left the office, hoping my scent would be gone by the time she came in to work. POV: Vinny Tristan brought me food during my lunch break. I think it's sweet how much time he likes to spend with me. It's similar to how a male wolf acts when he feels a mate bond. I never thought that I would have someone to treat me like this again. I got up to walk to the meeting room. Seven started to act crazy. She couldn't sit still, but she wouldn't tell me why. Right before I opened the door, I smelled him.
