Thorin and Viggo left after Sakina, and Alaric went off to find Eron. I waited until they were out of earshot and then I turned to Eli.
“Eli, we could be attacked at any moment. Do you really think it’s wise to send our best warrior an eight day’s ride away? That’s over two weeks of just travelling.”
“Yes, brother, I am aware. But Sakina is not our entire army. We have plenty of trained soldiers, we have Orsa and Conin to lead, I have you and Alaric. I have Kai to lead the archers.”
Kai nodded his head in acknowledgment.
“Yes, brother, but it is unwise to send one of our most experienced warriors at this time.”
“Lucien, we can handle Skol. You do a great disservice to our warriors if you think they will fall apart without Sakina here. The army is more than one warrior.”
