Sakina I sat on the floor, grabbing my plate of food from Mama and eating hungrily. I was starving. Lucien sat, shamefaced, shifting his food around on the plate with his spoon. I avoided Mama’s gaze, knowing I would burst into laughter if I looked at her. “So, hiding in my daughter’s bathing chambers, were you?” Mama said, glaring at him.  Ma brought the goblet to her lips, hiding her growing smile.  “Umm… Malaka… it’s not what you think… Mama Cassia… I… Sakina, tell them,” he pleaded, turning to me.  I turned to look at Mama. “Yes, Mama.
