I swiftly wipe my tears away from my cheeks. If I’m going to go out from this building, I don’t want the people around here and the employees to see me leaving in this condition. I don’t want them to see how wretched I am and make them think that something has happened between me and Geoff.
“Ma’am, have you found sir Geoff?” the woman at the front desk asked me when they saw me passing through them. I look at her and lend her a pseudo smile out from my face.
“Y-Yes. Thank you. I just left him the lunch I have for him. I still have things to run for an e-errand,” I said, as I can’t help my voice but to c***k at the last word. The woman simply gave me a smile. As I made my turn to leave, the smile on my face soon disappeared without a trace.
