( Don't leave us here... ) "Why am I hearing things again..." she told herself. She looked at her phone to know what time is it. It's 5 in the morning and it is still early for her work.  She sat on her bed and stared at the ceiling. Consolatta still can not process what she is currently in right now. It has been days since she became the chief executive director of Solace Theatre. Consolatta believed that she started from the bottom, and she has now reached the top. She started working in Solace Theatre as the janitress. She strives to attain knowledge, she wanted to be more and bring out and show people she is not just what she is showing at every moment. Fortunately, two persons introduced themselves as her Uncle and Aunt. It was years ago, she remains grateful for what they did for her. They are Guillermo Cruz and Evia Cruz. They paid for her education, food, and provided everything she needed.  She insisted to pay them back every month when she receives her monthly salary as a janitress in the Theater Company, but they won't accept it for some reason, they say.  Consolatta is planning to visit their graves before going to Solace Theatre. Today is their death anniversary. She grabbed her phone and dialed Guillar's number. After a few rings, he picked up.  "Sol? It's like 5 in the morning. Why are you calling?" he said in a husky voice. She laughed at her cousin. Guillar is the firstborn and the only son of her late uncle and aunt, Guillermo Cruz, and Evia Cruz. "Chill, Lar. I'm sorry, alright? Good morning!" she greeted him. He sighed. "What do my Sol need?" he tries to make it sound sweet for her, she knows. He has been always like this. Forgiving, loving, and caring.  So much for her only family. Still, she's thankful. "Let's visit them," she mellowly stated.  "Who? Right now?" he asked. "No, not at this hour! I'm still sleepy, for Pete's sake, Lar!" she laughed. "And oh, check your calendar, Lar. What do you mean by 'who'..." she continued.  She stood up and turned on the lights in her room. It has been months since she lived here. She's kind of not used to it because it is her first time living in a beautiful and big-spaced penthouse. Sol sometimes feels alone, but she knows that the time will come and she will get used to it.  "s**t! I forgot!" Guillar exclaimed.  "You coming with me?" Sol asked. "Nope," he said popping the 'p'. "I'm busy... Maybe, I'll just visit them after work." he continued.  "Alright. I'm sorry for waking you up, Lar,"  "It's fine, Sol. Drop the call. I want to sleep again,"  She chuckled at what her cousin's stated. "Fine, fine. Love you!" "I love you more, Sol. Remember that," he dropped the call.  She went in straight to her bathroom after the call to wash and freshen up. After that, she proceeded to her walk-in closet and decided what she will wear for today. She chose her gisele emerald wide-leg pantsuit and paired it with her black stilettos to match her black sleeveless top inside. She also decided to bring her white clutch bag.  Sol drove to the cemetery alone. She walked towards her beloved's grave. She knelt down and touched their names engraved on the cold tombstone. The cold wind brushed her skin softly as she felt her tears rolled down her cheeks.  "I miss you both..." she whispered. She placed the flowers she bought in front of their tombstone and lit up the candles she also bought on the way. She wiped the tears on her cheeks. Sol knows that her Uncle and Aunt would not like to see her miserable after what she has reached. Her position right now is the dream of her lost self... and the dream of her Uncle and Aunt as well.  "I'm sorry..." she paused.  She looked up in the sky and saw the sun slowly rising up. It is a good thing that she is the only person here. She is not the type of person who shows emotion towards other people, in front of someone or anyone. She sighed and wiped her eyes. After that, she closed her eyes. "I'm still regretting... I'm sorry," she continued.  As the sun slowly rises, her memories aroused and made her mind remember each detail of that day.  "You are making me worry, Sol. Where are you?" her uncle, Guillermo asked.  She is still busy cleaning the comfort room of the company. She chuckled at what her uncle told her. "I'm completely fine. I'm in the company," She slipped yesterday while cleaning and has broken her wrist. Nevertheless, she feels fine and she chose to work even if the company has given her days to recover. She wants to work. Not for herself, but to repay her Uncle and Aunt.  Her graduation is near and she's excited about it. Finally, she will receive the fruit of her hard work and the sacrifices of her only family.  "Why aren't you resting? You should be! You are still hard-headed..." he said.  "I am completely fine, as I said earlier. I promise," she responded to comfort him through call.  "Then, come home later, Sol. Ezia will cook for you,"  "Uhm..." she paused. She still has school works to finish at nightfall. "I-I'll try... I guess,"  "Come on, Sol..."  Evening came and her phone went dead because of the battery. She was occupied with the things she will be doing once she is done working.  She charged her phone when she arrived at the company's sleeping lounge for employees. She stays her to save time coming to work. The company allowed her to, which made it easy for her.  Sol opened her phone after charging and an incoming call from Guillar. She checked the notifications and she received a lot of calls from her Uncle and from Guillar. She immediately answered it. "What's up, Lar?"  "Sol..." Guillar's tone sounded sad and it made her worried. "What happened?" she asked but Guillar did not answered. Instead, she heard him cried. "Lar, what happened?" she asked once again.  "My parents are gone, Sol..." Up until now, the murder is not yet found. He kept the place clean and spotless. Remembering what happened exactly on this day three years ago woke up her rage.  "I'll give justice, Uncle... Aunt Ezia..." she whispered with wrath coating each word she let out of her mouth. On her way to her company, her mind went blank. Guilt is still creeping in her body even if it happened three years ago. Inside those three long years, she worked hard. Not for herself, but to give his Uncle and Aunt's justice they need.  She came back to her senses when someone's car honk behind her. She did not notice that the traffic light already turned green.  Sol drove fast. Not until when she saw a man crossing the road with his dog. She stepped on the break and when her car stopped, she immediately went out of the car.  "Hey!" she called him but the man continued to walk across.  "Hey!" she called him once again. The irritation in her voice is obvious. She walked towards him and tapped his shoulder when she is in front of him.  The man slowly turned around. He is wearing black sunglasses, a white shirt, and pants. His look is simple but she can not deny the fact that he's hot! His figure is perfect. His muscles are in the right place. She did not realize that she has been staring at his body until the dog sniffed her foot.  "Do I know you, ma'am?" the man asked.  The irritation she felt earlier is nowhere to be found. She shook her head and looked up to meet his eyes. He is taller than her even if she is wearing stilettos.  Sol raised her eyebrow. "Why are you crossing the road?"  The man was amused. He chuckled. "To reach the other side?" he sarcastically said.  "Sir, are you blind?" she worriedly asked. He has a dog and he's wearing sunglasses. He did not stop walking even if the car she is driving almost drove him over.  He removed his sunglasses and looked at her intently. "What the f**k are you talking about?" Her eyes widen and she felt the embarrassment because of her wrong accusation. "I'm sorry! I thought you are..."   "No, I am not, ma'am. What do you need?"  "W-why were you crossing the road?" "I already answered that question."  "I mean... Why! I almost got both of us in an accident!"  "There are no traffic lights and you are the only car driving on this road. I thought you'll see me-" "Excuse me! I did!" she cut him off. "Who's at fault, then, ma'am?" he lowered his face level his and Sol's face.  Sol felt her cheeks heating up. She rolled her eyes and turned her back to hide it. "Whatever!" The man raised his eyebrows and tilted his head when she looked back before stepping in her car. She rolled her eyes again and drove off to her company.
