An Da used all his remaining strength to hold down the frantically struggling Lin Yue. He was barely holding on to what was left of his reason. Lin Yue, this is the only way to save you, please don’t blame me.
He entered her. She let out a scream and then fell silent for a moment, before his last bit of reason informed him that he had encountered an obstacle. As the person under him began to move, he could only continue…
The main hall was still bustling with noise. Sima Chun sat next to the Old Madam, wondering why An Da hadn't arrived yet. How was he supposed to handle this with so many women here?
“Grandson, this is grandma’s birthday wine and cake. Have some, everyone else has already eaten,” the Old Madam said, handing him the plate with her own hands.
Sima Chun took the plate, looked at the amber-colored wine in the glass, and then put the glass down again. He felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
“President, let me toast you,” Guo Qian, who was sitting on Gao Suqing’s left, stood up.
“Miss, I’m so sorry, I’m not drinking at the moment,” he said, finding the woman in front of him looked a little familiar, but he couldn't remember where he'd seen her.
Guo Qian was stunned, completely dumbfounded. She didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. The man she had chased and loved for two years, the man she had been heartbroken for, didn’t even recognize her. But she had seen enough of the world, and she quickly collected her composure, elegantly sat back down, and looking at the extraordinarily handsome man before her, she vowed to make him remember her.
“President, if you won’t drink the wine, you must at least have some cake,” Fang Ying said, walking generously up to Sima Chun and handing him a small slice of cake.
“Dr. Fang, thank you,” he said, as he put the piece of cake into his mouth. Out of the dozen or so beauties seated at the table, he only knew Fang Ying.
They were classmates in high school, and Fang Ying had been secretly in love with him for more than ten years. When he went to China, she followed him to China. In the end, she realized that distance wasn’t as important to love, as it was always in her heart and in her thoughts. She had never given up, and had always stayed by his side, silently hoping that one day he would see her. Sima Chun would sometimes have a drink and chat with her, but he never spoke about love.
Perhaps because he hadn't eaten dinner, he had finished the small plate of cake in no time.
"Come, Chun'er, have some tea, don't choke,” Gao Suqing said, walking in from the tea room.
“Mommy, do we not have enough waiters tonight that you had to do that?”
“I’m very happy that my son is home, isn’t that a good thing?” Gao Suqing said, smiling radiantly. "Grandson, let’s make a decision about your wedding today. You can decide who to choose, or if you’d like us to choose, this is what we agreed on earlier.”
He took his tea in order to hide the irritation he was feeling. He took a small sip and felt like he should just get through tonight and figure out the rest later. The Old Madam had 21% of the company’s stock, property she had brought with her from her maiden family, many years ago. But in the last 10 years, those 21% had increased so many times, enough to buy several small countries. Sima Chun knew that she was using it as leverage to force him into marrying soon and having children, or, even, just having children without marrying, and now was not the time to make her angry.
“Grandma, I'll follow whatever you decide,” he said. Something’s not right. Why do I suddenly feel so hot, and so off? He looked at the tea and the cake on the table, and realized. He thought, I need to leave here, now.
“Grandson, there’s something Grandma wants to announce today…”
"Grandma, please take your time, I'll be right back. Everyone, excuse me, I'll be back in a moment,” he said and rushed quickly towards the bathroom. He noticed that someone had followed him as he was entering the bathroom. After using the bathroom he deliberately shouted out. The person that had been following him immediately entered to check. Sima Chun gave him a devastating uppercut, knocking the person out. Grandma, Mommy, you two really underestimate me, sending such a small fry to deal with me. He climbed through the bathroom window to the outside, and then took the side stairs back up to the third floor. The hall on the third floor was already completely empty. The effects of the drugs had started taking hold, and he felt a throbbing pain below. He kicked the bedroom door open and rushed towards the balcony, not noticing the woman who was lying on his bed.
“President, the Madam asked me to wait for you here,” Guo Qian said with a coquettish tone, from the bed.
“Who are you, and get off,” he said, realizing that someone was in his bed, his clarity returning. He was a man of habit, and he never let women from outside sleep in his bed. In the past ten years, all the women he had slept with, he had booked a hotel room with them, and as soon as they were done, he would make those women leave immediately, without exception. No woman dared enter his home and get into his bed.
“President, I can see you’re about to lose it. You might as well come here.” She started to remove her silk nightgown. After Sima Chun had left, the Old Madam and Madam had made an announcement that would shock all of Canada the next day—that any of the socialites who were present tonight, no matter who they were, would receive 10% of the Old Madam’s stocks if they gave birth to a Sima heir. That piece of news made all the women in the room excited, sending them into a frenzy. 10%, an inheritance that could buy a small country!
"Get off the bed now!” he said, his voice was filled with impatience, his eyes sharp as a sword as he glared at her.
She didn't get down, but instead looked at the angry Sima Chun with a seductive gaze, wanting to make him know that it didn’t matter how angry he was now, as long as he was a man, and had also been drugged, he would throw himself on top of a naked woman. The silk gown had already slipped off her shoulders, revealing her bare torso…
I have never seen such a shameless woman! He thought. His bed, especially the beds at home, weren’t for just any woman to use. He was very particular about that. His anger, now mixed with the drugs that were coursing through him, was almost uncontrollable. Unable to hold back any longer, he grabbed Guo Qian up in one hand, grabbing her nightgown with the other hand, and dragged her out of the room with no mercy. He slammed the door shut, and like a madman, he tossed the blankets, sheets, and pillows off the bed and down from the balcony. Everything he could, he threw out of the room. As he looked at the now empty room, he seemed to feel a little better. At that moment, the effects of the drugs were taking full force, and he was feeling incredibly ill. He forced himself to take control and started the helicopter. He resolutely took off, flying steadily towards the Empire Building.
This section focuses on the chaotic scene in Sima Chun's mansion, where his family members try to force him into marrying. It highlights both the vulnerability and determination of both Sima Chun and Lin Yue. Hope this is helpful.
