Chapter 20
As Art stepped out of the OB room, he was shocked to find Hilda missing. He had brought her there to talk to the doctor, but now she was nowhere to be found. He hurried down the hallway and into the elevator.
When he exited, he spotted Hilda walking away, clutching her abdomen and still wearing her hospital gown.
"Hilda! Where do you think you're going?"
Art grabbed Hilda's arm and turned her to face him. Tears filled Hilda's eyes as she expressed her disappointment, saying she wouldn’t abort the baby.
Art was taken aback. Hilda shouted that she wouldn’t terminate the pregnancy; she didn’t want to be in the hospital.
He rubbed his forehead in confusion and asked Hilda what she meant.
