“Hey, how are you feeling?” I asked Nicole after we’ve successfully gotten her to the clinic to figure out what was in the water she took.
“Weak” she plainly replied. She wasn’t looking her greatest at all. Her eyes were already swollen in a matter of hours and her lips had gone very dry and she pale the more with every passing moment.
Seeing her like that heightened my fear. I tried not to think about the probably of losing her but I couldn’t get it off my mind.
“It’s okay Claire. You did all you possibly could” she smiled grimly at me hoping to assure me but I wasn’t assured at the slightest. Danny who had been staring at her in concern sighed and move closer helping her back to bed and covering her up. We were about to turn and leave and leave when he held him back.
