“Claire” Nick called as I suddenly turned back to head for the lab.
“I’m fine. I’m okay Nick, you should go check on Nicole I need to help my dad back at the lab.” No matter how much I tried to hide the hurt and pain I felt, I couldn’t hide it in my extremely brittle voice.
