CHAPTER 3:GRACE TO GRASS

Lexia Greene paces around her house with panic and fear written all over her face. For goodness sake, she hasn't set her eyes on Yiwen for almost two hours now and her phone is not reachable.

One of the reasons she is extremely worried is the fact that Yiwen hasn't fully recovered from the heartbreak she felt after she found out her fiance cheated on her just two days ago.

Having no other choice, she picks up her phone again and dials Yiwens number......"switched off", she hears and curses loud in anger.

MEANWHILE,

Yiwen takes heavy steps in frustration as she heads out of Rooven hospital. Lost at what to do on the situation on ground, she walks down the icy road while leaving her car behind. The road is so quiet that even the birds and any other creeping creatures dare not make a sound.

With tears in her eyes, she begins to think of how she fell from grace to grass. Trust me when I say she was someone that other A-list actors and actresses were envious of. All was going well with her until her mom found out her dad cheated on her, when she had a delay in child bearing years after their marriage, with her best friend and even has a daughter a year older than Yiwen with her

After this shocking revelation, Yiwen's father didn't find any reason not to bring his other family to his house and so their family had an extention. As soon as stepped their feets into the house, trouble started.

Just then, a car interrupts her thoughts .

For goodness damn sake, this isn't just any car but this us Hyundai loniq 5, one of the best cars in the world. As her mouth opens agape, the car comes to a halt and a man dressed in Oxford button down shirt with a prime slim fit black jeans trouser approaches her.

"Good day ma'am", he greets humbly. Nodding quietly to his greeting, she waits patiently to hear what he has to say.

"You live around her, don't you?", the man asks out of the blues.

"Sorry but I don't let strangers drive me home",Yiwen utters as she attempts walking away.

"Drive you home, pftttt you wish", he mutters sarcastically, leaving Yiwen dumbfounded.

"Then what do you want?", Yiwen manages to ask.

"I'm so hungry and at this point, I need help to a nearest restaurant", he utters.

"I see", Yiwen whispers, though loud enough for him to hear and takes a moment to throw a quick glance at his car before turning back to him.

"Go down to the main road and turn left, you'll see a restaurant there just before the car park", Yiwen utters while demonstrating her words with her left hand.

"Yh thanks", the man says, bows slightly and walks over to the parked car with three to four people in it. After which the car zooms off leaving Yiwen all by herself.

Exhaling deeply, she approaches a nearby pharmacy and buys herself an insomnia d**g to help herself to sleep well at night. In order for it to work effectively before she gets to her house which is just about ten minutes from here, she takes the d**g as soon as she gets out of the pharmacy and walks down the road in search of her car.
