I thought that I told Davis that the guards won't allow him in without causing any altercation.
But before I could stand up I heard the words that stopped me from walking.
"She is still sleeping... She will meet you later," It was the only response from Khalid before he slammed the door forcefully.
I shut my eyes instantly with the fear that they will break at his hinges.
I heard footsteps walking forward and I knew that he was coming back to bed.
I could feel his heated gaze on me as he made his way to the bed.
