The morning sun streamed through the curtains, casting a glow across my face as I stirred from my rather restless sleep. My head felt heavy, a dull ache pulsing behind my eyes as I slowly sat up in bed. My fingers reaching into my bird's nest of a hair as I tried to get my thoughts straight. The events of the previous night came flooding back, my conversation with Elias. Elias had asked for time, time to find the right spell, time to prepare.
