Chapter 4

Location: Tec Nimo's POV What was intended to be a walk to my—Nauel's new chambers escalated into a full-on tour of the Kingdom of Tec, I won't lie, the kingdom was far more beautiful than the rumors told, either way, I wouldn't expect less from the greatest of the Seven Kingdoms. The kingdom of Tec has always done well to exclude themselves from most events and activities that would require them having anything to do with the other kingdoms. They are a little kingdom consisting of five family-clans and no king, hence the decision to stay secluded. Due to their seclusion, the interiors of Tec are kept hidden from outsiders through a very powerful magical barrier and no one is allowed to enter into Tec neither is any Tecan allowed to bring someone into the kingdom except said person receives permission from the Tyrant Lord— Raun Vine, Nauel's soon to be husband, thereby making informations about Tec and its people unconfirmed rumors. My mind traveled back to earlier this morning in my little shop, when the Queen had suggested this madness. "And how can I help you?" I remembered asking her despite everything in my system telling me I was not going to be interested in whatever was to come out of her blood-painted lips. "I want you to replace my daughter on her dais and marry the dragonlord" She had said straightly, no hint of humor in her voice. I let out a laugh that seemed to infuriate Ronxa, I was angry at how crude she could be, but more than that I was amazed by how her brain worked… I mean surely the man marrying Nauel is not blind, how on earth does Ronxa want me to marry him when I look nothing like Nauel. "Who let you into Gob again?" I asked, still laughing and her jaw ticked with anger. "Your little Queen" She replied anyway, she was at my mercy and she knew that. "But I thought you both aren't on any terms at all… How come she let you into Gob?" "Your weak kingdom stands to gain from this alliance, Nimona… that is why your pathetic Queen allowed me into Gob" She explained "But I look nothing like your daughter, how did this idea play out in your head?" I questioned, resisting the urge to throw myself into another fit of laughter. Her eyes narrowed down on me as she scrutinized me with her gaze. "Don't play dumb with me Nimona. I know what you can do… your uncle here has said a lot about you darling" "What can I do?" I asked with fake uncertainty, a smug smile played on my lips. Ronxa's face fell instantly as she banged my table hardly. "Careful Queenie… that piece of wood cost a fortune" I mocked. "I'm not asking you to do it for free, I'll pay you" "Do what Queenie?" I asked, still playing dumb. I was starting to like this new nickname. "Shape shift!" She finally let out. "There is a kingdom who specializes in that Queenie… I am just a goblin alchemist" My serious voice said, my tone sharp. "What you are is a hybrid who can be of help to me—The kingdom of Hoft does not do this kind of dirty work regardless of who is as—" I didn't let the rest of that madness leave her lips as I interrupted her. "And I do right? I do this kind of 'dirty work' right?" I made air quotes at the dirty work. "Nimo be calm" My uncle begged but I ignored him. "Get out of my shop!" I ordered, blinded by rage "You cannot send them away Ms Ravene" Someone outside said, I turned to the door just in time to see it swing open as someone walked in. This personnel reeked of royalty just like the crude witch who stood before me. "My queen" I bowed my head in display of solidarity to Tega, queen of Gob. "Accept her request Nimo… I ask of you, do it for your country" Tega begged "With all due respect my queen, I do not owe anything to Gob and I cannot partake in this unruly act… especially when it concerns a kingdom like Tec… I must refuse" I replied. "Nimona… Our both kingdoms have been warring over the land that borders both kingdoms. If you do this Hohr will let go of that property and it would be ours" "That is political issues, it has nothing to do with me" "I've told you I would pay you… handsomely at that" "And exactly how much are we talking about?" I asked and Ronxa smiled. "And this is where you will be staying, Nauel…" Thon's voice pierced into my ears, dragging my attention to him. I once again shifted my gaze to the blonde haired dragon lord, a pang of guilt hit my chest as I remembered I had long zoned him out. The guilt was quickly pushed away when I realized that he had been preoccupied with Jaya to even notice my absence of attention. "Thank you Thon… for bringing us here and for giving us a tour of your kingdom, I must say it really is spectacular" I smiled "You are welcome Nauel… why don't you go in and have your rest… The wedding will commence in a few hours time" "Will do… I'll see you later" "I'll see you later too, you as well Jaya" He smiled at me and more intently at Jaya before turning to leave.
